Fun Fact: Barbara Goodson (known for voicing Rita Replusa and Laharl) voiced Red Fraggle in The Fraggle Rocks animated series. Years before that, she voiced Unico the Baby Unicorn in the two animated films by Sanrio Animation based on Osamu Tezuka's Unico manga series but was uncredited. She later confirmed that she voiced Unico at some convention appearances. Even earlier she voiced Chirin in the English Dub of "Ringing Bell" (Chirin no Suzu). Now putting this into the context of all six of his parts, I ask myself how CAN you pay proper tribute to a man as great as Jim 30 years later? “Fragile Rock ended the Cold War” is the perfect joke. It’s less of an observation of an interesting coincidence and more of a statement into the kinds of themes Fraggle Rock embodied and explored: different beings with different ideas, even those considered enemies can coexist together in the same world. It may not have ended the Cold War for sure, but its long run on the air and the lessons it taught over that time were probably pretty influential to the international audiences it reached.

Jim’s pitch to the creative team was simple: create a series that might make a difference-hopefully, with a new global reach-in the world at large. (“I want to do a children’s television show that will stop war,” Jim said cheekily.) Excerpts from the bio by Brian Jay Jones, 2013

Is fair to say it failed? The thing about war is: it never changes.

This is gonna sound like a crazy idea but can you review Angela Anaconda? I know what you’re thinking but I heard it’s actually a decent show if you ignore the Digimon short

"Everything is important. Either that, or nothing is. I prefer the former." Holy shit. That's so profound and speaks more to me than any common pessimistic philosophy. Pickle Rick should watch this show.

Getting Defunctland on this to read a line just oddly made me a bit emotional (he made an amazing extensive history on the life of Jim Henson which really had me so torn by the end)

DUDE, the Puppet Center is the best place I've ever been. My mom was in a coma and had to be at a special hospital in Atlanta, to take my mind off it my dad took me several times. They had a huge animatronic head you can control yourself. It was the tits, dude. I think it might have been Ludo from The Labyrinth but I'm not sure. I think they had a ton of Labyrinth stuff.

We need some sort of Fraggle Rock reboot or something to bring people together since this world is such a mess right now! Oh, wait, they already made that for Apple TV😂

Growing up right after the fall of the Soviet Union... I have never heard of this show. Nor of Jim Hensen. Muppet shows are pretty much unknown over here. Most people know about Kermit the frog only from the meme.
