Thank you for this video. What a transformation you brought about. It is always a pleasure to watch a skilled craftsman at work. My father’s passion was making violins in his spare time, so I have been brought up watching meticulous processes being wrought on materials to transform simple elements into beautiful, exquisitely turned treasures.

It’s funny, I see people open a new/used book and complain about the end pages being glued to the first piece of paper. I just shake my head realizing that they have no idea how a book is bound lol. No shade to them just find it funny. I love these kind of videos, not only is the music a nice touch but actually seeing your process is fascinating. Thanks for doing what you ♥️

You have worked hard to master your desired skill set. In my very humble opinion, the easier a person makes something look, the more skilled is the individual. You made me think, yeah... I could so do that. Lol, the only one who believes that is me. (I know better. You are truly a master of book smithing!) As a retired maths teacher, I know that in order to present your material in an easy to follow format, one that has boiled it all down to one concept at a time... you must know your material inside out. You must know it well and then you must have practiced it countless times one on one with a struggling student. I got that practice tutoring struggling students. Then you know where most of the mistakes will occur, why and how to avoid them. You build the confidence of your students so they feel like they honestly have a chance doing it on their own. I have watched many, many of your videos. You have done all of these steps. Thank you Nik. You have a broad range of skills and interests. This old bird is going to follow one of your series and make a lap book this January and February. You have me convinced that just maybe I can make a beautiful book, nice enough to use as a gift for a friend. Thank you so much. You are also a fantastic teacher / tutor / mentor / & true crime enthusist.

Nice touch inlaying the title block. I am a huge fan of covered bricks as weights. Mine, though, are covered in reused kraft paper I get in packages as filler. My 1, 2, 3 blocks are also covered. That is because I work with leather and the metal edges might scratch the leather. (1, 2, 3 blocks are used as weights for keeping patterns still) Thanks for the video. Enjoyed it immensely. (as usual)
