how do you like the rock Guards with the steps ? I had them on the 2001 I have and after I lifted it, it sits to high for me to use as a step ( is. 5.4 short) so I sold them and got the same brand without the steps, just ordered side steps that bolt to the frame

It really depends on what you want to use them for. In my case, I use them to reach up into the roof rack basket. The step that bolts to the frame, gives you less maneuverability in tough spots, because it is just lower to the ground. Just depends on how you want to use it in the end. Lol
