I got mine from Amazon, but they sell them at most art stores as well. I put the colors I use in the description 🥰

I think this is a great technique, but I’m about to give up. Whenever I use my powders, I find that that it always leads to powder in the air and then the little powder pigments get stuck in my paint and it’s just a nightmare. I’m to the point where I’ve put all my powders away. I only have PanPastel brand too. The blue is the worst for mess but the best for doing veins 😭 I made my own little mixes too and I even bought an empty makeup pallets from Amazon to try to store them as cakes not loose but it’s not enough. Do you have any tips for how to keep the powder from making a huge mess?

My only real trick is to tap the brush very well, there should be no loose powder on your brush, just a small amount of pigment staining the brush. However I only use very small amounts for nails. I used to use them for veins & undertones as well but prefer the control and blending ability I have with paint, so don't use them for anything else anymore. I would suggest if you are going to use them to cover your area well and really focus on using them as if they were a dry paint on your brush as opposed to an actual powder that you would blow the excess off. Does that make sense? I couldn't quite figure out how to word that!

@@ebornsreborns thank you! yes hmmm a dry painting sort of experience. I certainly haven't been tapping the brush mutch, I've been slathering it on to blush and for veins, trying to rub it into the vinyl because it lightens when it absorbs, but I have too much excess I think. There's a tutorial I was following from a KZbin channel in French and she used a lot of powder. I can't remember that channel name... I'm going to try again for nails by using them in another room maybe LOL even breathing on them seems to spread it around. Thanks for the tutorial, I really like the resulting look of your moons and nail tips.

I looked and found the all the colors except the burnt sienna tint on Amazon. Our good local art supply store has them for way more. Is there any other color that I could substitute? And your nails have very defined moons mine are nonexistent on most and blurry on others! I have some pigment powders powder fx stuff but it's all fantasy colors! I used on a mermaid tail haha I love how they work though. Amazon has sets but none have the right colors except the huge sets.

You can use the Yellow Ochre Tint for both! They are only slightly different, I use both because I have both, but would be fine using the same for both.

I am about to try again with them....first try I struggled. I have used pencils always (and thought I was the only one until I saw you!) But nails in general I just don't enjoy doing.
