REBUILDING 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ S550 PAINT PREP AND FIRST TEST DRIVE

We are back at it with the Mercedes, We fixed the air suspension and get to see it in action. I put in the rear seat belts and the wheel airbag and there is a slight hiccup. We wash this car down and go on our first test drive. Finally we get to sanding and rinsing to get it ready for paint next video. If you need to replace one lower control arm you should replace both. They are good for 90 to 100K miles and this car is almost there with the current mileage. It will make for a better wheel alignment.

This should be a winner for you guys. True luxury car! They are expensive to own. They are great when they are still on warranty! You guys can handle the repairs and maintenance in house so having it should a non issue.

Would be interesting to see a sales versus purchase and restoration cost. Even in percentages and how long you had the car before you moved it. Made 3 million% profit had it in stock for 3 milliseconds. That type of thing.

this one will deliver quite a buck! It's a great project and basically, you really rebuild something that will provide tremendous value for somebody. It's good that you don't do flood cars anymore, as long as I know, you should really clean up every single wiring to avoid further problems, even if you do , one still may get unlucky.

Good progress on this car and good that you didn't need to get the Mercedes man back as I thought you might. Different cars have different methods. I thought that drivers airbag looked odd when you started to fit it but these things happen. Will be nice to get the paint done soon. G-05 coolant is fine. Doesn't have to be from Mercedes.

Doesn't that depend on how much they ask for it? A salvage title with a previous hit and 70k miles is not going to command high dollars. They keep referring to it as a Mercedes AMG, but it's an S550 with the AMG sport pkg. It's not an AMG.

I would call Vlad at LNC and see if he has any s500 regular bumpers. He usually puts the AMG package on his cars and might have a take off for cheap. Also as many cars as you guys wash I would look into getting foam cannon which can lift and get harmful dirt off the paint of the car.
