@@vehcor absolutely. I have two extra 00 to 05 reg cab plastic short bed Z71 in my drive, and about once a month someone asks me if I’d sell one. The 00 has 349k on it and they still want it… weird.

@@MK-hx5wd holy cow, that’s high mileage! Sounds like you have a survivor. I like the front end on my 00 better than the cat eye. And I don’t care for the hood coming over the front fender. I’ve been wondering if a good winter project would be to swap the front ends. The 05 only has 89k on it, 4:11s and a 6” lift.

Didn't think there would be enough meat on the bone flipping a fifteen year old truck but being a Texas truck at least it's not crusty. Watching South Main Auto repair (upstate NY) channel everything he puts on the lift you have to wonder why it doesn't fold in half with all the rust. 👍👍👍

I was thinking the same thing but then again, used car prices have skyrocketed and ANYTHING is worth 50% more than it was last year. Not to mention pickups were already fetching a premium. Where I live, before the supply issues with new trucks, even an 11 year old F150 with 240,000 kms was going for $18,000 cdn. The thing that would kill that up here in Canuckistan is the 2wd. Only good for the summer.

These trucks will always bring good money. Pre DOD/AFM. 5.3s are hard to kill until 07 and all of them eventually have cam/lifter issues.

I like opening my KZbin and seeing that you have posted another video. One thing about watching your videos and KZbin suggesting other like videos is i am seeing that other people are just hacks. It shows me that you truly do the best work. i would only hope that if i had to have any kind of accident repair done that it would be done with the same quality as yours Scott. It seams to many people rely on body filler and covering up damage. Thanks for all the videos.

Our 1997 Charade has lost most of its clear coat. Fortunately, the Charade is the only one of our cars with clear coat. The others have real paint.

When we put the rear seats on, they are folded forward and we use a lap seat belt around the seats to stop them 'wandering' whilst they are being moved.

Pizza Girl does crossfit, gets distracted by a random tire. Scott stays buff by - Scott Powered ram; removing & installing seats; tailgate removal and installs (watch your back Scott!); "suspension tool workouts", and random ramp screams - among many other routines. It's a sad state of affairs when Scott has to go over 1000 miles to find a decent auction 15 yr old GMC for the emporium!

The venerable GMT800 chassis...I love these trucks and we still have one in the family (my son's now). I know that purple wire! I installed a factory rear defrost in the old Silverado. So easy to add factory options that the truck didn't come with...

I need a bed like yours for my 2005 gmc sierra hit a deer 250000 miles and with its heated seats and air conditioning i still think think body's worth reworking. BTW My drive train is in excellent shape solid motor and trans ect. Love these little trucks...
