I use a 5 gallon bucket and a 2"x4" for a door stand. You are much younger than me, but you inspired me to do another rebuild, a 2013 Honda Civic. Thanks Scott, you are the man!

I don't understand you are able to repair these cars & trucks very nicely and the insurance companies total them that should be up to the owners of the vehicle
@danielbutler578
@danielbutler578 Жыл бұрын
Insurance companies will let you buy the car back and have it repaired. I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla that was totaled in 2014. Their estimates were at almost $6000 and they valued the car at $7200. It cost me $2000 to keep it and we chose to keep it as a backup car. We have put about 70,000 miles on it since it was totaled and it became our main driver when our 2014 Nissan Sentra was totaled by a Great Pyrenees dog. 1 airbag and 2 seat belts with related parts and labor accounted for most of the damage and the insurance companies will not allow the body shops to use anything but new parts for airbag and seat belts and insist that the whole system will be replaced. The only reason the airbag and seat belt tensioners deployed is that the dog was jumping at a school bus when I hit him. He came through the grill and drove the airbag sensor into the AC coil. This policy of insisting that everything in the system be replaced has resulted in vehicles with relatively minimal body damage being totaled because of the airbags and seat belts. I wish I had kept the Sentra and rebuilt it myself.

I was worried when I read that it could be the last one, but relieved that it's only possibly the last Lexus. Your videos are always interesting and I'd miss them if there were no more. Now it's 5:00 AM here in Queensland Australia where we don't have daylight saving, which I hate. Other states end daylight saving tomorrow.

Be careful. Arizona (Australia without the ocean front) doesn’t do DST. Mostly. A corner of it does. And just to make it more interesting, an area in the corner doesn’t. I think Joe Biden is responsible for this…

Love your channel- Could you cover two things in an upcoming video? First can you cover the “inspection and approval” process after you have done the rebuild to get the title moved to “rebuilt” status? Second - can you cover ways to go about getting metal body parts? I get the “go to the dealer” but what if you want to get pieces for say a “b pillar”?

At least that battery didn't have a safety sticker at the bottom side.... like I found out they have here after I quickly put a new one in my key and it didn't work... Seems a liitle hazardous plastic sticker is nowadays attached to warn you it's dangerous for babies. and you don't see that if you don't flip the battery when you take it out of its packaging before you fit it in the key...
