Rebuilding a Power Steering Cylinder - Case / David Brown 995

The power steering cylinder was leaking like a sieve and the rod was severely bent. I straightened the rod and installed a new seal kit.

Well done straightening the steering rod. Have the gouge’s in the rod caused any problems?

I filled them with JB weld and smoothed them over. So far so good.

Thanks for the video, this helped me replace theseals in my 885. Quick question, what was the product you used over the thread before reattaching hydraulic hoses? (12:06)

it is teflon (PTFE) paste. I bought a small bottle off amazon.
