It's so sad to see our glaciers disappearing. I've been to Mt Robson and it is truly a remarkable place, no where like it. I hope one day climate change can be reversed and preserve landmarks like these for future generations, but the only way for that to happen is if we all work together and change our habits.

If its 'climate change' how do you explain the glaciers have been receding for the past 12,000 years ?

Acceleration of glacial retreat is directly linked to the amount of fossil fuels burned, aerosol releases and land alteration. That's anthropogenic climate change. You're welcome.

@@misterfunnybones NOPE. Where you are sitting right now was covered with a glacier and started receding 25,000 years ago and is not anthropogenic. You're welcome. And even tho you used a 'big word' , which I'm sure in your mind makes you believe you think you referenced something scientific - you have not.

@@crabbcake Cognitive dissonance & willful blindness of facts & evidence are apparent in your response. Over 94% of glaciers in Arctic areas retreated between 1958 and 2015, with gradual retreat before ~2000, followed by a fivefold increase after 2000. Do some basic research.

@@misterfunnybones if you've done research, then it should be very easy for you to state how many cubic meters of glaciers were lost between 2000 and 2002, and state the source of the information you are referencing. If you cannot, make such a simple statement then you really don't know what you are talking about, right? you're welcome. (at least now you can realized that its actually yourself that is willfully blind.)
