Man, having a parts car is a huge advantage. That was a good find.

That's a good idea using the destroyed WRX STi as a donor car. Well done, Nick.

Cool deal you got another car with the same color. If not just wait a couple of days one will show up. Cool build, thanks.

Looks like your painter won't be doing any work on this rebuild! Good that you have a parts car the same color.

Actually I'll need the whole front end repainted.

how does one learn to do stuff like this. I've always wanted to work and rebuild cars but I've never had anyone to show me growing up.

Does the engine in the parts car work? Wouldn't it have been faster and cheaper to drop the assembly and put in the "good" car?
@Fuckyoutubeass4 жыл бұрын
The owner may be UPGRADING the performance with mods since it may have internal damage from the timing components not in synchronization due to the impact.

Am I reading that number right 28 miles on the donor car?
@RebuildWithNick4 жыл бұрын
Yes you are reading it right.

Wouldn't be better to replace the whole frame?
@codydakota954 жыл бұрын
R Freitas it’s unibody, the frame is the car, it’s not like the days of old where a body was mounted to a frame, now the body is the frame...the “frame” he’s referring to are the frame horns that make up the crumple zone which absorb impact energy. They are designed to buckle upon impact leaving the cockpit virtually unscathed. These pieces can be cut out and replaced safely without disrupting the structural integrity of the rest of the car.

Come on Nick... It's not a motor, it's an engine. A motor could be electric, as an example. Combustion engines, are engines 🙂🏁
