Metal transfer heat quicker and retains heat better than plastic, that’s why the bumper cover painted better as the paint remained cooler.

True that metal has a higher specific heat than plastic, but all the parts were at steady state temperature anyway when the painting took place. So not the reason.

Plastic is harder to paint tho than metal or that's what my painting teacher tells me. Might have something to that as to why it ended up better.

@@kpb711 painting plastic is harder lol. You're forced to use adhesion promoters for paint plus the primer. Otherwise paint peels right off the bumper in no time. Compared to metal it only requires a nice sanding starting on p180 and going up to p320 and then prime it, sand primer down then throw paint coats and clear coat.

Supra should be Brian O'Conner orange with all the FnF touches that made that car iconic - Now, not with the Supra but have you guys considered using a multicoloured prismatic paint for one of your projects (a paint that changes colours depending on the angle that your look at it) OR doing an under graphic (car looks stock when parked/cool but changes colour when it heats up revealing a different colour underneath of a sick graphic of some kind)? Think would really put your skills to the test and see you knock it out the park. Would love to see an update on the shop space, Man its gonna be a whole new ball of wax when you guys have your own paint booth, your own frame rig and lift booths when your shop is done - make sure you add a showroom to your shop so us viewers can come and admire your finished projects (and maybe buy one of them!). Guess your shop is gonna need a helipad now as well!!!

Great work so far guys. Love your channel. I’ve driven the 2020 Supra and it is very impressive. It’s fast , handles very well and sounds awesome in Sport mode when the valves in the mufflers are open. The styling in person is phenomenal EXCEPT all the annoying fake vents. My only concern is the fact that it is not a Toyota. It’s all BMW powertrain and interior. It was created in a joint venture with BMW and Toyota with a lot of BMW parts and built by Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria. See link below. The styling and tuning of the suspension are Toyota unique. If the reliability and cost of ownership are the same as a BMW, I wouldn’t want one. Time will tell. It’s not a worthy successor to the MK4 Supra but still a nice car if you want a BMW. By the way, Toyota offers an online subscription to all their technical bulletins and repair manuals including collision repair manuals that are very handy when doing a job like yours. To get the best finish you should cover the plastic sheet that covers the window openings with paper. This will stop the overspray being blown off by the air nozzle when doing next coat.

i got a set of *Rock Tamers* for my f350 and they work amazing for keeping rocks and dirt down from hitting things your hauling, they just slide over your hitch before you put it into your receiver i would highly recomend you guys get a set there wicked!! 👌👌👌👌

For final prep on car, you should do a water soaked wipe all then a dry wipe all, then do a wax grease remover wet wipe and then follow right behind with a dry wipe all. Always do a dry wipe all after a wet one. Wet one in one hand and a dry one in the other. Just a tip guys
