Oh wow! My grandmother had a wringer. She had 3 galvanized tubs. One for washing and 2 for rinsing. Then the wringer washer came out but it only washed and had the wringer on the top side. She used the bins for rinsing and used the wringer after rinsing as well. It was 59 or 60. I thought that was the neatest thing to help. 😍 Brings back memories. Thank yall! God Bless! ❤

We had a wringer washer when I was growing up. Had 2 maybe 3 tubs for the rinse water. I don't know what happen to the washer. I wish u had it I would use it. The tubs we had for a long time. When mom passed in 2015 I found one of the tubs in a storage building. The bottom was pretty thin and had a small hole. I kept it for decoration . I told my kids not only was it used on wash days it was used on Saturday nights for bathing. We didn't have running water just well water. No plumbing. Back in the good old days. Lol

Nice job there Danny, we have some vintage wringer washers, my wife's grandparents Citation from Western Auto, and a Maytag that belong to my aunt, I got both working and we have used them in the past, my wife says they get the clothes much cleaner because you can let them wash as long as you choose to, I also have a double rinse tub that belong to my aunt, you would swing the wringer between the tubs to double rinse your clothes. People today have no idea how great they have it compared to our grandparents.

Good morning, a deep appreciation for your wringer washer. My grandmother had one that she converted to Electric and continued using it until the late 70s. This gives us a great appreciation for the craftsmanship of the days of old. You did a fantastic job restoring it. I send prayers your way that you can find the tub you need to be able to use it. I still have my washboards, you just never know when you'll need it. They do work and they work extremely well. This was a great project! You said it did take a year for you, however I believe it was a year well spent. You should be very proud,we are of you. Have a blessed day and tell Wanda we said hi. We love y'all your Ocala Family. Blessings

I have an electric wringer washer I picked up a number of years ago. It hums along and the wringer was in excellent shape. Twice my new washer broke and I used my a kenmore wringer washer and washed perfect. Also I have a hand wringer like Danny’s but new and a hand washing tub. No power. No problem. Actually I use it even when my house washer is fine. It’s fine to use and no electricity needed. I found it at Lehman’s. That is a great wringer Danny. You may need it one day, I needed mine several times. Nice video.

I have an antique mangel like that. I mounted it on an antique, wooden wash tub stand. I actually used the set up with two #2 washtubs to do laundry when my electric machine broke. Did laundry that way for over a month! Mine is an Eclipse and was in good shape, all I had to do was take it apart and clean it up. Little more work but, beat the heck out of having to go to the laundry mat and it gets your clothes much cleaner washing them that way (I also have an antique laundry agitator).

Awesome!!! You are very talented! I've seen a few at Amishland around Augusta, Wisconsin. They werent being used though. They used regular wringer washers. In Equador, 1974, the women washed clothes on a concrete slab with lines drawn into it to cause ridges. Then they would drape wet clothes over a line or bushes!!! I wore my clothes out scrubbing them!!

I found a wringer online about 8 or 9 years ago. It was sold as a wringer for car washes to use for wringing the shammies ( sp?) after drying a car. It has to be bolted on to something. I saw it on YT channel, " I'm still workin' ".

Feed clothes from the drain chute side so water goes back in wash tub. Great job on your restoration of the whole project. Now if anybody would like to 3D print all the parts you would have something for you to save electricity on. I just try to picture my left arm up to shoulder between the rollers on a powered one. Luckily Grandma Pike put it in reverse and all that I lost was the blood under the nail of the middle finger.

Oh, my grandmother had a wringer washer in her basement, I used to watch her do clothes in it. She said you had to be careful with clothes that had buttons, to not set the wringer too tight or... you'd bust your buttons! Detailed wood working requires patience and precision , and Danny has both! Danny , I wonder if it would be prudent to spray some liquid rubber that dries around the part of the legs that sits on the tub. It would protect the wood from the water splashing on it when you wash clothes. ??
