No, I sold mine, cuz it was boring. Now I own half a dozen flatheads. Those are cool
@ColtonRMagby6 ай бұрын
@@brianellison3525 The flatheads are cool, but knuckleheads have a more distinct sound. The closest cars came to a knucklehead engine was the T-head.
@brianellison35256 ай бұрын
@@ColtonRMagby um, you literally said "anyone who loves history would love to have that baby." I said, "no". I've owned 2. I sold them both. I'm into history. My channel shows that. This is what I do for a living. Protect history. I just find knucks to be boring. And the MOST distinct sounding Harley is an 80 inch flat head. Nothing thumps like a ULH. Once you go overhead valve with that s shaped rocker you're playing catch up. That's why I raced Triumphs. HD had to wait till the XR came out before they had a chance of keeping up with the europeans. Shortly after that, Japan came out a spanked them the rest of the way. Ok, enough history. Enough tangent. Have a beautiful day. And ride what you think is fun. (Today I rode my 920.) Be well.

@@brianellison3525 Flathead engines are EVERYWHERE. Hell, the Ford Model T is a flathead!
@brianellison35256 ай бұрын
@@ColtonRMagby don't know why you keep bringing up wet motors, they dont sound anything like a UL, and you want common? Inefficient? Overhead was old news by the time hd jumped into it. Nothing sounds like a ULH. How many do you have or even ridden? I ride mine about once a week during the decent weather. I sold my last knuck at the end of last summer. Until you've owned. built, and ridden both, please shut the f*ck up. I'm done and out.

The KZbin channel was a brilliant idea I can visit the neat history whenever I want. Since I can't make it out there I get t raffle tickets every month so I can support you guys . Keep up the great work and spreading the love for classic bikes the only way to keep it alive is getting new people to love it as much as you do.

They are super rare here in the UK but I got to see my first WLA in the flesh last weekend at a local vintage motor show... sidecar and mounted mg... strange boxy looking air filter thing, reminded me of the old oil in sump Land Rover design. Anyway after chewing the fat with the owner for a bit, in front of the small crowd that had gathered he challenged me to start her up. I considered the challenge for a second or 2 then was like " Yeah I could probably do it". Confident disbelief on his face he chuckled. I dutifully rattled off the start up procedure I'd learned through this channel (retard and 3 primer kicks before ign etc) pointing out each part of the bike in sequence. The guy was flabbergasted and shook my hand. It was the highlight of my day. Thanks Matt, you taught me good. 😁 Raffle tickets bought 👍

Matt, dare i say ......I'm not really a harley lover but .....the OLD Harleys now that another story . The way these old bikes look and sound .....now THATS what a harley should sound like , bangs and wheezes , shocks absorbers squeeking . Bouncing along , hanging on for dear life , hoping the old girl (the bike, not your wife 😁)doesn't break down ,but if she does .....you say "dont worry baby ,i'll fix you " and give her a smile ......bloody hell i've become sentimental!!!!🤔 Maybe I'll buy a ticket for the bike draw 🤔. Peace out ✌
