Rebuilding Polaris RZR XP4 1000 Transmission (Assembly)

This is a quick time lapse of how I reassembled my Polaris RZR transmission after bearing replacement and replacing the worn gears with OE replacement. Since then I have over 1000 miles without any flaw on the transmission. took a while to cut as I misplaced my SD card and lost some of the footage so made due with what I have! Apologies if any details are missing.

Did you have someone press the bearings on or did you do it yourself with a standard press? Thanks for the great videos by the way.

Kenneth Hitch I did it all with a standard press, had to get a little creative but got the job done and put nearly 1000 miles on it before selling!!

Was that a different case half or did have to press the old bearing out?

One side was replaced due to bearing shooting out the side, but in the video you can see I tap the old bearings out lightly with a hammer on the gear probably could have wiggled them out

jesus guzman they are snug fitment to get back into case they have to be dead straight and require some pressure to fit in snug I used a little of the trans fluid to lube up the bearing as it slid in to avoid damaging bearing

Where did you get your bearing from for this build

@@BespokeRyan ok thanks man great video I busted a case right at the snorkel great bearing and figured I'd replace all bearing thanks again

demetrius Owen wow I haven’t seen one broken at the snokel! But yes if the case is open might as well do all new bearings my friend!

@@BespokeRyan I've personally had about 90 percent of all trans fail at the snorkel gear and blow that side out of case. I've only had one that was re-usable, hence as to why I asked before if that bearing was pressed on, whenever I've ordered those case halls from Polaris they already have the bearing installed in them.
