Scott, get a can of Kubota orange spray paint. It's almost a perfect match for touch-ups.

Oh man,thats why first thing i did out of showroom was a ct raceworx gusset kit,on front and back. It will take all that impacts out from the frame and spread it over the boxed gusset

Perfect shirt Jesse🤣. Would have been even better if you were wearing it when Scott rolled. Glad Scott & his daughter were alright.

I can’t believe this thing was put back together without a shock tower brace and gusset kit
@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew Жыл бұрын
Shock tower was perfectly fine. And the gusset kit wouldn’t have stopped the frame from getting tweaked. The a arm folded and pushed against the frame causing it to bend. So if he had a gusset kit it would have bent the frame and the gusset kit. I’m sure it adds strength but I don’t think it’s necessary. At least not in this case.

It’s awesome seeing our Women diving in and throwing parts on these things. I get my Wife involved as well. Best way to learn in just get in there and get dirty. Very fun hobby, expensive at times, but just too fun!!!

I like the mechanical stuff along with the trail riding. Ya'll do a great job. And I've had my machines/vehicles in the shop before. I'd say what Innovations you have to make up to get the job done is better in my opinion than the so called "pro's" versions. Maybe it's the heart and drive put unto it? Who knows? You guys know what you're doing anyway. Another great video.

Have that old shock rebuilt it can be done! And next time he takes it apart I’d look at a gusset kit for that front end
@TheCanAmCrew

We will check into that. We get really good prices from our local dealer that sometimes it pays to buy new rather than used or rebuilt. Do you know anyone I could reach out to for a price?

When buying a can am X3. First upgrade the bulkhead gusset, lower and upper A Arms and shock tower brace...
@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew 10 ай бұрын
I honestly don’t think that’s necessary. Sheri and I have over 10,000 miles of extremely hard rock crawling, Scott has over 5500 miles on his and not one of us has had a need for a gusset kit. I just switched from stock 64” a arms over to ct arms a few months ago. Still running the plastic shock tower brace as well. If your dunes jumping I’d see a need for it. East coast I don’t.

Why not add a gusset kit right away?
@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew Жыл бұрын
A gusset kit wouldn’t have helped in this situation and between the 3 of us we have over 25000 hard miles with no issues. The a arm folding back is what bent the frame so it would have bent the frame and the gusset kit.

Y wouldn't you go with gusset kit and better lower aarms ,while ur in that far
@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew Жыл бұрын
We won’t run a gusset kit because it’s a pain in the but to work on anything up front, it makes swapping a diff or a arms a 1-2 hour job rather than 20-30 mins. If you go stronger with a arms then the weak point becomes the frame. If he had stronger a arms they wouldn’t have folded and in turn made the frame the weak link, which we definitely don’t want. Stock a arms are cheap and easy to replace if something would go wrong.

@@ramonruybal9808 ya, kind of the same here. Between myself, my wife and Scott we have a little over 21,000 trail miles in 3 years and this is the first time we messed up an a arm or anything like that. I’m still on stock a arms too. 64” DS model. Fingers crossed and knock on wood haha.
@cbgranger11
@cbgranger11 Жыл бұрын
@@TheCanAmCrew exactly right! Id rather wrench on a new stock a arm than yard sale the machine with a bent frame...all you do is transfer the force to the next weakest point..the frame. I dont race so no need for super tough a arms..
