Always good to get legacy tools, to continue their life. I have alot of my grandfather's tools that I use. ❤

That’s right, feels good to keep them going.

When you welded the muffler to a solid surface did you consider the motor will move when started up or idle up. Something has to move and the weakest part will break. It would be better to attach the support to an engine mount that is part of the motor movement. Other than that, looks great, keep up the great work. You are motivation for us all.
@shotslife3 ай бұрын
It has a flex pipe in between the motor and the muffler that is made just for that.. engineered that way. Great thought though!

I was thinking, a set of headers, and a turbo added , you could produce twice the power. Hot rod generator. Lol

Hey Chief, have yo considered buy a bandsaw? It should make easy work on some of those cuts you are performing with the grinding wheel. MSC and Grainger have a great selection of bandsaws to pick from. You aren't going to need a saw with too much HP because most of the metal you are cutting through is pretty thin. The bandsaw would also come in handy for wood projects you may have coming down the road. Take care man. I hope all is well with your better half. The Gen rebuild is looking killer. Alan from NC. PS: Hey, isn't their some kind of county ordinance about burning wooden pallets without a permit? 😁
@shotslife3 ай бұрын
Hey brother! Yeah that is a great idea, I’ll add it to the list! Are you in NC or down South? For some reason I had you down in Florida for the winter… lol, nah you can burn them here, just not tires/plastics..

hey my friend have you considered using gunwash for cleaning your surfaces you could probably get a 5 gallon bucket for about the price of a gallon of mineral spirits and it would dry faster than spirits, here in canada we get gunwas at the local napa store i use it for cleaning all my spraying equipment, great progress, question is this filmed after the wedding with the corvette or before 😁great video 👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍

Whole time you were using drill press thinking if I tried to do that I'd hurt my wrist when it caught and spun. Thinking you must have a stronger grip than me to be able to hold it. Oh well, you're human after all.
@shotslife3 ай бұрын
Hahahahaha, I should have used channel locks to hold it but… of course I could have cut that out but I like to show reality…not everything I do works out for sure!

you are riling up my OCD when you weld over mill scale and paint! Especially when it is all open and easy at the start. I know you aren't going for 'welder of the year' but that is so basic....
