Rebuilding The Fuel Pump on a VW Golf MK3

In this video I am rebuilding the fuel pump on a VW Golf mk3. It may seem like hard work, but actually the most difficult part is getting the pump out of the tank. Replacing the pump motor is very easy. Sorry for the sound quality, for some reason after processing the sound disappears for a half a second every now and then.

Do you know the engine code? I have one with an ABD engine which has the same problem and I'm trying to figure out which part to look for.

How do you remove the bottom part of the fuel pump cover when its fitted in the car? Thanks

Question should the pump have continuity between the leads and the pump housing ?

Your missing the sending unit, to send fuel level to the cluster.
