When I see your dog at the end, no one can tell me a dog is not a sentient, empathetic being. And NOT a soulless automaton. They can read our mood, our character better than you can do it yourself. They cannot talk, they cannot count, true. Neil SeGrasse Tyson told the story of a Border Collie that knew the names of a thousand toys. They got a new one hid it in the living room, and then told him "Where is the Einstein?" and off he was. Took him a little longer, but he came back with the correct toy, an Einstein puppet. So he was able to think "that I know by name - can't be it - that I know - oh, that is new, that MUST be Einstein!" Dogs obbviously dream, you can see their legs twitching in their sleep, even a muffled bark - they are mumbling in their sleep. In any case they are more sentient than an embryo without a brain... But for the hardcore christians it is of utmost important that they are incomparably more important for their omnipotent invisible superman, because that boosts their vanity.

@@dogwalker666 It must be a pain to have one - keep him occupied. I learned that the shepherds do not even have to train the young ones, they just watch what the old ones are doing to control the herd. And it seems to be their instinct that when some being is around, to keeep that under control. I do not remember the breed, but I was on a field with the (HUGE) box of my model glider, and there was a shepherd with her flock there, an old woman in her car and her dogs out. I walked past the flock, and one of the dogs came running and bit me in the hip - just like they do it with a sheep. I stood there, speechless, and she started bickering that I am mean against her dogs. I screamed "I haven't done ANYthing! I just walked past". It did not hurt, but to be treated as sheep had never happened to me before.

@@dogwalker666 the average 7yr old has a vocabulary of around 7 thousand words, the lowest quarter grouping is still over 3 thousand. No dog has a vocabulary that high. You are thinking about the study that, after effort and specific training, got a collie to a vocab of a 3yr old. An average 7yr old has a vocab 7 times higher than an exceptionally trained collie which in turn is 7 times higher than an average dog.

No, human beings as a group are capable of more than any group of dogs because human beings have the capability of not only understanding language but also of speaking. It's honestly infuriating that some people believe and propagate these myths as fact. Especially when they target children. Moses, god, and pretty much every biblical character are a collection of people condensed into 1 because apparently the biblical authors had little to no creativity. I'm real though, I promise. But you're real Jesus. Isn't that what it's all about? At least that's what I always hear from these Christians in Ala freaking Bama- "Don't you know that Jesus loves you, and had a plan for your life?" Lol, my response is always the same- "Anyone claiming they love me, are people that know me! Jesus don't know me, and if he wanted to know me, he needs to do a better job at showing interest." All these false promises, these manipulation tactics by the pulpit needs to be considered abuse, especially when it comes to young children. Anyway, just thought I'd reply and tell you that I can believe in you, being that your name is Jesus Christ, and that you're actually real. @@Mar-dk3mp Lol! It really does suck when people are so freaking affraid that their religious beliefs are likely wrong and they don't want to admit it. I have no interest in having any kind of discussion with people who simply WILL NOT take the time and actually see what's fact and what isn't. And that is exactly what the majority of the "We know there is a god, and we know we have souls, because there is no way anything could be different!" Uh, yeah it can, and it is! Sorry if that bothers you or anyone else who thinks that way. This is theists problem, and instead of using what evolution has helped us develop, AKA the brain. Theist want to discard all of what science has helped us with, what it has taught us, and what we can learn from it, only to say "Fuck science!" and sit back expecting Jesus Christ to come back, or whatever. When you don't even realize the very god yall believe in can't even make itself known to people who actually could use some supernatural intervention, and keep coming up with some bullshit like "You have to give your mind to god, your heart and soul. If you do, god will listen. God has shown himself to me, god has spoke to me!" On and on with that nonsense! I've lived in a world with people who believe, still believe, and will continue to believe. And not once has their god done anything for them! And if you or any other theist think that god helped them, and still does. Well, thanks for showing just how boastful of an arrogant human being you all are. Cause you are definitely not better than the people I know who believe. They don't speak down to people, they don't criticize people, they are always helping and doing things for everyone else, with the idea god will award them after they die. So keep those comments to yourself! And if you honestly believe in your god? Then pray that he makes himself known so they can understand and believe. But we all know isn't going to happen. And tbh, yall are.the ones that better hope he's not real. Cause if he happens to be. Than all indicators show that you're all going to be in for a rude awakening full of an infinite lifetime of abuse and endless worshipping on your knees like the mental slaves that yall already are. Yall are going to be very disappointed! But more than likely, just as you didn't remember anything before your birth, the same will happen in death. Non existence! And that scares the fuck outta you. That's why we should appreciate what we have today, the people we love today, and we should work to make everyone's lives better. But nope! Thanks to the evangelicals reign over this country the last 100 years, and the fact that they've destroyed people's lives, and did everything they could to keep minorities from having any financial gain. But I bet you don't believe that because of reasons. Wasn't white atheist that segregated the African Americans in the early and mid 20th century. It wasn't the Atheist who didn't allow minorities to have a chance at a life. Hell, Atheist were deemed satanic, evil, and just like homosexuals, they weren't allowed to be known. And if they were, they were either killed, or treated like shit! When your God proves to the world he's real, and does what is right! And shows people that being bigots and morons won't help, and isn't the right way to be. Then stfu!

i actually visited a supposed site of Moses' grave. it is in Hodatsu, Ishikawa, Japan. the story, written in Japanese and English at the site called Moses Park, is that Moses was taken into the sky by a UFO and ended up in Japan, taking a wife there and having children, giving a new 10 commandments, and then eventually passing away there at the age of 583. this is honestly no more extraordinary than any of the other supernatural stories about the ancient world; which is to say, they are all, more than likely, no more than myths. as to whether a historical Moses may or may not have existed, it doesn't really matter in the context of believing the events told about him as true. one cannot assume that the historical existence of a person should directly imply that all stories about them are factual. George Washington definitely existed, but as to his more mythical stories like that of the cherry tree, we cannot assume that they are all factual simply because he existed. the exact same can be said of the Christian stories about Jesus. Jesus may well have been a real person, as many historians consider to be likely. however, this does not imply that all of the stories about Jesus of the Christian New Testament are true.

I'm not really a scholar, but I dabble in a deep obsession with writing fictional stories. From what I've read? The bible is fiction. Just the famous line of "In the beginning", well, the reason why someone writing a story would do that is to set up the world that they are about to take a reader into. It gives the idea that you're about to see a whole new world. Not to mention the ways that the description of each piece of creation. In a story, you don't have to question this, but they're proclaiming what I am about to state is somehow real for the origin of our reality. It goes through seven days. 6 of the seven he makes an aspect. Okay, but I have a question. They state on the 7th day he finally rests. However, he stops each and every single time after creating one aspect of the world. This to me implies he fucking rested on each day, but Sunday was just his absolute lazy day. Next, why would an all-powerful being need a nap? He is limitless. Meaning, he wouldn't be able to get tired whatsoever. The list goes on and piles up. In fiction, sure you can let some stuff through. (Despite all the fucking plotholes in the bible) However, they don't believe this crap is fiction. So a lot of it boils down to why, how, etc. It makes no sense.

It's one thing to study history and try to piece together all the events in history that have lead to the present, as a way of getting a general understanding of how the present came to be. It's quite another to base one's world view on the accuracy of that historical study, to the point that even minor errors undermine the entire worldview. To put it another way: If you found out tomorrow that Julius Caesar never existed and the historical accounts of his life were contrived, would it affect your world view? Probably not. Could a Christian say the same thing about Moses or Jesus for that matter? No. They need those accounts to be accurate, or their entire worldview falls apart.

And this was in consideration for the entire region. Not to mention any verifiable mentions of such being taken as slaves was never mentioned until much later in history. If I recall correctly in what historical studies have been made in this regard that is taught in courses that the numbers was in the hundreds.. not even thousands. I haven't studied this area in some years now.. but as far as I know, nothing has changed or been discovered to change these findings of historicity of these people as slaves.

*Moses’ Name* “Moses” was Moshe in the Hebrew and Exodus gives an unlikely reason for his name: an Egyptian princess gives a Hebrew-language reason “I pulled him from the water.” In fact “Moshe” implies, as Nahum Sarna wrote, “He draws from the water,” which is a description of one of Moshe’s primary acts of his life - to draw his people from between the parted waters of Yam Suf. So who is naming Moshe? Maybe the author of the story, who names him for what he will do, just as many biblical characters have names that give a clue to their life. Exodus 2:10 says the princess made him her son, “so” she called him Moshe, but the So is not in the Hebrew. That is a common conjunction added so the text will flow in English, and maybe in this case, even to make a link between the Egyptian word for Son, Moses, and the baby’s name. In Nahum Sarna’s translation, there is no conjunction. He starts a new sentence, “She named...”. “Moshe” was Hellenized to “Moses.” That seems to accidentally mimic the Egyptian word for Son. Did anyone name their son just Son? Didn’t they always have a god-name in front? It seems Moses’ name is coincidentally an Egyptian name part.

Moses is more of an amalgamation of historical figures such as Thutmose for example. Moses is meant to be a mythical character such that Genesis as a whole is just a storybook. The problem with genesis apologetics and other creationist organizations is that they take Genesis too literally and too seriously to just accept the fact that the bible is meant to be studied in order to live accordingly. Nowadays some parts of the bible are ignored cuz really no one wants to take certain parts of the bible to heart but that doesn't mean you ignore those parts either.

I have far less difficulty believing in the mere existence of a historical Moses, than I do believing that YHWH is real, and His intervention in Hebrew history is literal. Maybe debunking only that part of the orthodox mythology is a far more relevant task, and would correct the salient issue at the heart of the Palestinian conflict (the 'chosen people' psychopathology and the malevolent effects of such) I'd accept that as a sufficient achievement. Leaving Moses alone may let the Hebrews save a cherished cultural remnant. I'd give them that in exchange for a revised, contemporary view of YHWH....or as I call Him "He who cannot forgive without the taste of innocent blood sacrifice. " I believe the comparison between YHWH and Huitzilopochtli is far more compelling (theologically and in reference to moral philosophy) than comparisons between Moses and Dionysis.

One of my favorite parts of arguments against this Moses character, is that of how he supposedly led this group of people through this desert wasteland areas and eventually came to the region area of Mount Sinai. Which geologic speaking is a dormant to now dead volcano. But even if one was to visit this region in the time past that is referenced in the biblical timeline.. that would place the region volcanically active. And we know there was several groups of people that lived in that region around the base of Mount Sinai and worshipped the volcano or saw it as sacred and a special place where their god walked and swelled and NO ONE was allowed near it.. especially some vagrant traveling group of outsiders. These people were very war like and would have defended the place from having access.. There is no possible way this group could have made it to that area without being seen, noticed and or confronted and then either killed or driven away. Not to mention some of these groups of people who swelled there had and kept written records.. and they never mention any group of strangers coming to their area.. nothing even remotely like the biblical mythology and or fairytale suggests. Even if they had came to this region of Mount Sinai..with a group of any size.. they would have found a volcano that was active and possibly currently erupting or whatever in some way. One can go into all sorts of extensive evidences that seriously put the existence of this biblical character as actually existing and much of it may not as much exclusively prove no such person ever existed..but surely not one that did any of these things as claimed. It is similar for the biblical jesus character.. Absolutely no such person or character ever existed.. Not the one claimed as per the bible or biblical scriptural narratives. May of some person by whatever similar equated name of existed... Well yes . There was people named yeshua or whatever.. names can be common.. a name existing does not equate to the actual person existing as per a claim or claims. The jesus character narrative as claimed never even had a historical influence or effect on history in any way... Not even locally. What people often mistake and misplace as historical ... It is just the belief people had in this figure and it exiting that has an effect on history.. people's belief ..the people who believes in it are mentioned..what they believed is mentioned.. The person itsf ..these entity.. this whatever ..the jesus character.. no mention of it or about it or relation to it when it supposedly existed.. Only mention is from those who believed or mention by others about those who believed. Which one of it shows that the person or character actually existed.. just reaffirms people had belief about it.

Moses' name is made from the Egyptian piece of a name meaning "son of". Like Thutmose = son of Thoth, Ramses=son of Ra. So, logically, Moses would mean "no one's son". If he did exist and was adopted by Pharaoh's family, he would have been named Hapimose after the god of the smooth river or Knumose after the god of the rapid river. So even in verisimilitude, it doesn't pan out

@@Mar-dk3mp You are actually correct that the Bible does not make any claims about when the earth was created. But the people who made the video that Aron is responding to have taken the information about the years that the characters in the Bible lived and made the claim that it is six literal days and have made the claim that Methuselah actually did live 969 years and basically have said that it was about 4,000 years before the birth of Christ that the world was created if the Bible timeline is accurate. As far as the ten commandments are concerned - there's really only like two or three of the ten commandments that I think are actually moral. For example, don't lie, don't steal, don't murder. And I've got news for you that there is archaeological evidence that the code of Hammurabi which includes those three commandments was definitely written prior to Exodus. So I'm not arguing that there isn't some good moral teachings in the Bible. But what I am saying is that the Bible is not the source of morality. Jesus quotes Paul. Jesus quotes Aristotle. I cannot speak for anyone else. But I know that my sense of right and wrong has basically developed based on the idea that I wouldn't want that done to me so therefore I'm not going to do it to anyone else. So, I don't know why you're talking about mathematics and multiplying or dividing by zero - but I don't know of any person other than a young earth creationist who has made the claim that the universe and the world came from nothing. Even if we basically say we know that there was a singularity that expanded and somebody comes back to say well where did the singularity come from? we don't know! And the only difference between the atheist and a theist is the fact that we stop at the idea that we don't know and that we basically think that there's the potential for us to discover where it came from at some point but filling in that question of knowledge by saying that it must have been created by a god does not give us any meaningful answers.

Apparently (according to Exodus 2:10) the name Moses resembles a Hebrew word meaning “to draw out” since he was drawn out of the water. This, to me, makes it pretty obvious that the story is a Semitic fabrication, since it’s an unsubtle play on words. Like an inside joke for Hebrews. Moses is an Egyptian name, to give credence to the story at face value, but it’s also a play on words in Hebrew.

*Chaldees Didn’t Exist Yet* In Genesis 11:26-31, Abram is introduced as son of Terah, coming from Ur Kasdim (Ur of the Chaldeans). “The Chaldees” is as another name for the society that grew to become a dynasty in the Neo-Babylonian Empire (NBE). The Chaldeans didn’t exist until at least the 10th C BCE, soon after the time of David, and the NBE didn’t take Ur until the 7th C BCE. It is difficult to be born in a region that didn’t exist until centuries after you supposedly lived. This is not merely a case of “writing from a future perspective,” per Rabbi Hezekiah ben Manoah and probably many since then, because Genesis 15:7 “quotes” Yahweh telling Abram that Yahweh brought Abram out of Ur Kasdim.
