@@peterpelly5756 I didn’t mention housing. My problem with Gondek is that she believes she can step away and refuse to answer questions she doesn’t like. Reporters ask questions because constituents have those same questions. If you have an answer I don’t like, say it, and tell me why you believe you’re correct. As an elected official, you have a duty to communicate with all of the constituents you represent. If we had a conservative-leaning mayor, who you disagreed with, wouldn’t you want that too?

Gondek received 1.5 million dollars from unions for third party advertising and tried to keep it under wraps. Did Nenshi also receive that much cash for third party advertising? All I know there is supposedly a billion dollars in reserve funds and little is being done for austerity measures to help taxpayers to lower property taxes.

Gondek is not listening. Raising taxes is not the only option. The City has 33,000 employees and they are still hiring, but only useless positions like “Strategic Advisors” not those who actually provide services. They can’t manage to clear snow off the streets. She even complained that she will have to hire more clerks to count the petition signatures! Really?! You don’t already have any employees who can count?!

The UCP blew billions of dollars on various voter bribery schemes, including making Albertans have to pay $1.2 billion for the new hockey arena for Calgary. When Danielle Smith was a radio talk show host, she opposed the new hockey arena for Calgary, because she said it didn't make any economic sense.
