Mike, my question is did your Sea Doo bow hunt how did it steer did you have much control of it or was it bow hunting, the ST3 halls I hear bow hunt a lot and the all the FishPro have that issue.

YES - it bow hunted, and it was quite annoying! Having said that, when the ski was loaded with gear, it did A LOT better tracking a straight line. But if my extra fuel jugs were empty, and the ski's tank was not full, then the water would like to grab either the left or right sponson - causing it to pull to the port / starboard. I was able to easily move my ~40 pound bag on the seat left to right, giving me nearly equal left/right weight balance. And that helped a lot as well.

Bow hunting-- is that different that porposing?

Yes... (I think so). Bow hunting is when the ski does not track dead center, and instead will grab the water and pull left or right, with just the slightest of changes in water conditions. If the ski does this a lot, you are CONSTANTLY having to course correct to keep a straight line, and it can also be a bit unsettling if you are not expecting it. Porpoising is more of the bow bobbing up and down.

@@MichaelStraubSeaDooLooper Interesting .. I will keep watch for the bow hunting. I find that the up and down porposing is reall sensitive to my weight distribution and my speed. When fully loaded, I have to run up to about 35 mph before it will "line out". Below that if bobs up and down and is really annoying and increases a one goes along because of the feedback. When my fuel starts getting back to normal with just the fuel in the main tank, things get better. Thanks for the input, I will keep an eye out for the bow-hunting.

Same here: 35+ ---- no problems. If really heavy in the back, then between ~25 and 35, it will porpoise. Before I left, I thought I would wait to empty jugs into the main tank until the ski was mostly empty, and then get 2 jugs emptied at once. NOPE. As soon as 1 jug would fit, I emptied it into the main tank. The Explorer's much larger hull storage should help alleviate this - by allowing more weight up front.
