How did we go from 1969 NASA parachuting to the ocean to 51 years later of no progress but to parachuting in 2021. Wake up America you are being fooled to the t of the 1969 nasa theater

@@hellothere3250 Hello There! I can't say I really know a lot about it, but there was so much progress half a century ago because of the fierce competition - that being between the space race between the United States and Soviet Union. Once that race ended, there was no longer as much incentive for governments to fund progress in space, so almost none has been made. This part I don't know much about either, but I think one of the main reasons behind starting private rocket-making businesses like SpaceX was to stimulate that competition again, and Blue Origin is some of that competition. This may not be much of an improvement from the last generation, but that might be because it could be just the start of a new wave of progress.

Friday December 17th @ exactly 7pm Texas time. As I was leaving location after working a whole 12 hours in the oil field. I witnessed four strange lights that hovered over the mountain range where blue origin resides. They came on and went off within 10 seconds. I wasn’t able to get a photo but my coworker riding with me seen them to! These lights look like four separate objects. Believe it or not. I have no reason to lie. Just putting this out there in case someone else starts seeing lights in the sky above Blue Origins west Texas facility.

I don't see why there should be a "next step" between this and an orbital flight. And SpaceX already made an orbital flight with "regular people".
