@@TyrannosaurusSex Oh common dude, the experience is the whole flight. It's not like you either take a picture or may experience it. You can have both sacrificing a few seconds for a cool memory FOR YOURSELF. Other people get a good impression watching the video of your flight. Pictures on the wall reminding me of cool stuff I did is super important at least to me. We sometimes lose the big picture and these memories remind you that it's all worth it.

Dragon already offers it, it's just way way more expensive. The G-Forces on an orbital reentry are also much harder and the long during in zero-G will require harder training. I think suborbital space tourism will remain attractive for a long time. Maybe even SpaceX will do it on Starship. They kind of already announced it with Earth2Earth flights few years ago.
@joegoddard9661
@joegoddard9661 2 жыл бұрын
@@KsNewSpace true but it depends what you want out of It, if you want to go higher and stay longer, you’ve got to go faster to achieve, meaning you’re pulling more g’s and having a hotter reentry, but having even a couple hours in orbit would be incredible and worth much more so the price is understandable, this is basically a low level hop hence the couple minutes of zero g they just scraped the surface
@KsNewSpace
@KsNewSpace 2 жыл бұрын
@@joegoddard9661 They could in theory do a massive reentry burn on a vertical launch to keep the g loads low. Starship in particular has enough capability. A trip to 1000+ km would be possible. So the view would be even better than from your normal LEO.

@@KsNewSpace but would this not also require a slower accent since I’m pretty sure the falcon pulls over 5G on take off? Would theoretically be possible I don’t doubt that but I feel like there’s a lot more ‘unnecessary’ fuel involved, think by that point you should stop spending your billions and put actual work into training if you want to preform a very high orbit or do anything more than just dipping your toes

Ok, Blue Origin is officially a rocket ride for the rich and nothing more. No pressurized space suits for loss of pressurization. No way to control the rocket from inside the capsule. When the passengers entered the capsule they were allowed to strap themselves in with the tech doing a basic check. Congratulations Blue Origin. You now hold the Guinness World Record for for expensive amusement ride.

Yeah, until they upgrade the payload/cabin area & design space suits. And you're jealous because you can't afford it. Lol! As long as there are people who CAN afford it (unlike you) they will continue to build rockets and make more money than you'll ever see in your life.

Memo to BO. Sorry, but I don't see $500K worth of experience here. Feels more like an amusement park ride. You're buying the view, you can get similar zero G time for lots less. Next time, I suggest you mount a GoPro on one of the travelers, so you actually get the view they have, both inside and, especially, outside the capsule. I think that would better represent the experience you are offering.

Even if they wore Gopro cameras the footage would still be edited before it's released to the public. You watched a Hollywood production by the Freemasonic 1%. As one commenter pointed out, they never show more than 20 seconds of weightlessness before switching to another camera view. Why is that?

I wish the window was taller/longer to see more verticle. Blue Origin kept to the classic elite/VIP theme park, they really could arrange greater service entertainment, image🙌 a huge bell shape re-entry dome pod, holding a ray of VIP recreation of micro gravity activities, dine, bar, dance & music entertainment sight see. Or an economical multi passanger ticket ride way to lower the expenses, in tech detail... It would be 4 to 6 Shepard rockets adjacent to a giant bell shape life pod dome. Instead of the passengers originally on the BO-Shepards pods, added fuel will ease re-entry before a short parachutes support final.
