remember that magic does not exist on earth. they came from the corpses of the drakengard world. the only people in nier who used magic were the grimores, devola and popola, kaine, the shades, and emil. now all but emil are dead and emil stays to himself. this is why their no magic in nier automata.
@friendlyelites7 жыл бұрын
lunerblade13 technically emil did use magic in automata's lore, he replicated himself 85 million times to try to defeat the aliens but he failed to stop them from driving the androids/replicants to near extinction because humanity went extinct due to the events of Nier killing off all of the shades i like to think the aliens created the machines specifically to try to replicate humanity themselves

A bit late for the NA release of NieR Automata, but here is the preceding game, though the series is part of the Drakengard series. I really enjoyed the Zelda/Resident Evil homages the game dropped, and the motto of the old king of Facade is one of my favorite quotes in games. While I will still be wrapping up the RE series and Legend of Dragoon, thanks to a Patreon Patron request, next month will be 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors among the other releases.

@@Zorgot. So a Gestalt is a real human with a soul right? But wait, in 1312 years, how many replicants were made? How old is the character? Is it just a coincidence if the original Yonah and the Yonah from 1312 later have the same disease? Why nothing is said about the way they proceed to make these "clones" because it's what they are right? Replicants are clones with no soul hmm? Thanks for answering me btw, i NEED to know! :-)
@justsomeotherguywithamusta68103 жыл бұрын
@@thecpme14 there's something called the replicant system. As long as a soul is not rogue(what we call shade or Gestalt) it creates a copy of it's original body. Basically every person you encounter, his true soul is still not a Shade. Once the soul becomes a shade the replicant system can't recreate another body corresponding to that soul. If the body dies it creates another as long as the soul is still not a shade. Once the soul starts to become a shade the body gets what we call the Black Scrawl. Once the soul becomes a shade the body dies from the black scrawl. So since tge 13... whatever years there has been countless Yonahs snd Niers. The reason the last one is special is because Yonahs true soul began to turn into a shade and so Yonahs replicant got the black scrawl which drove the story.

@@thecpme14 the originals didn't have the same disease it's something different. I forgot what it was but google it.

@@thecpme14 if i remember correctly the setting where you begin the game is a mmmmm what is the word.... an experiment to discover the first Gestalt which they did. Also Weiss is what binds the souls with it's body, that's why the true soul of yonah couldn't merge with replicant yonah but merly possessed her. Noir is the opposite it removes the soul from the body. Roburn I think( the book in Emils mansion) is a support item that helps either Weiss or Noir during their respective process. Weiss is stupid. Once he regained his memory he knew damn well that killing the first Gestal aka true Nier was gonna lead to the death of every one by the black scrawl, and every soul was gonna turn into a shade and he still helped replicant nier do it.
