That is the best the OL has played in many games. They worked together as a team and the timing was great. They opened some nice holes for the RBs. The OL has greatly improved.

I feel there were a few too many gadget plays by PSU offense when a 3 yard run off right tackle would have been easy for a first down
@georgesealy4706Ай бұрын
Sahaydak kicks powerful straight balls that fly high and far but misses right or left. It seems his pre-kick alignment is off rather than mechanics. I have a feeling he is going to be kicking a lot of balls this week.

The defense had 7 sacks 13 tackles for loss, and gave up 1.1 yard per rush!!! Amazing, offensive line and running backs played amazing, Drew didn't have to do anything big!!! WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled

Penn State beat them worse than the score. They need to fix the kicker and penalties.

Penn state HAS to have a kicker…special teams is critical

Wisky DL ran out of gas in the 4th Qtr vs. USC. That will not appear to be a problem for PSU as long as they keep players fresh. PSU's running game looks good, but needs to get the RB to the edge faster. Passing game needs work. Allar needs quick slants, quick screens, and should commit to running earlier because he gets panicky at times. Faster execution of plays, in general, as was seen in the UGA-Bama game.

Drew Allar’s numbers look decent but he played terrible. Missed key throws and just didn’t look confident. Played like a game manager.
@sbrown4556Ай бұрын
I agree not his best game -- he knew it. But I wouldn't call it 'terrible'. Key first down runs, and was instrumental in rallying the O-line at halftime (read quotes in paper).

I blame the crappy food in centre county. It takes us a good 5 days to recover after going to a game. They need to Uber in some quality food on game day to avoid that sheetz MTO bloat

This will never happen due to the unglamouros' nature of tight ends, but Tyler Warren's versatility and profound impacts on production should put him in the Heisman talks. It just won't ever happen!

Even if Illinois gets the field goal at the end of the half, if Penn State doesn't miss their FGs, and they get 3 points instead of going for it on 4th, the final score is 30 - 10. That covers the 19-1/2. It amazes me how accurate Las Vegas can be.

@seanthomson5578Ай бұрын
Disagree. Illinois couldn’t move the ball in the second half so obviously Penn St made adjustments that Illinois couldn’t handle. Penn States offense moved the ball consistently but unfortunately are having kicking problems. If Penn State had a reliable kicker, they win by three touchdowns. Illinois also got away with numerous holding penalties in the first half. Once they started calling them, the Illinois offensive line got absolutely destroyed
@willd780Ай бұрын
Out gained 374 to 219. Less efficient on 3rd down. Only forced 1 punt and only scored 7 pts. Hell of a coaching job 😂😂😂
@tomboyer5608Ай бұрын
It wasn't pretty for PSU but, funny thing is, if PSU had a field goal kicker, they would have beat the spread. IL is a well coached team and Bielema gets the most out of them. But PSU's a well coached team too. This was a high quality game, a fitting Big Ten opener for PSU.
