Recap: "The Future of AI in the Cloud"

Recently Vultr team met with a gathering of tech enthusiasts, AI aficionados, and start-up enthusiasts at Mediamatic in Amsterdam. We were excited to join the Dutch Startup Association and NVIDIA at "The Future of AI in the Cloud,” featuring special guests: NVIDIA’s Director of Global Media & Entertainment Strategy and Marketing, Rick Champagne, Autoscriber co-founder and CTO Koen Bonenkamp, and 10x founder Lucien Burm. This event brought together thought leaders in the AI and cloud computing fields and marked a significant milestone as we introduced our AI-Composable Cloud to the Netherlands and Europe.

The future of AI in the cloud will NOT be in the hands of GPUs. They are too expensive and power hungry. Also, GPUs are not efficient at constructing large neural network due to their memory access limitations. In addition, the future of AI in the cloud is not going to be a single AI or a large company owning a large number of AIs. The centralization of AI in the hands of a company is not only dangerous but irresponsible. The future of AI in the cloud will be a large number of companies or persons connecting their infrastructure to a blockchain driven interconnected matrix where each AI can communicate safely across the cloud with other AIs. The singularity will be reached as number of individual AIs connected to this blockchain matrix increases exponentially. We need to create a standard body that defines the communication protocol among these AIs through the blockchain back-plane. I'm happy to do this if anyone is interested....
