The amount of content in ESO is insane. Every expansion feels like a whole new game worth of content. It's unhinged The main story is okay, but man. The real joy just comes from exploring the world.

ikr, you can totally ignore the online content and just play by yourself, explore areas never seen since Arena, play long quests with full voice acting, the soundtrack is gorgeous and it gets new content each year. ESO is so underrated but it's a really good game.

A lot of your issues with ESO were precisely because you were only doing the main quest. New weapons and armor are all over the place if you explore and do side-quests. You really narrowed your own experience.

Played Blades recently. Honestly I just want to see if there’s like some underrated cool lore. Game has potential but the grind is just brutal. And I love grinding in games. I just hope with these online only spinoffs someone back it up and release some kind of offline version. I don’t expect Bethesda to release them themselves.

While I am in no way defending the design of Blades as I dont like it, but the section on it came off like you were actually just playing Blades wrong, its not an elder scrolls game, its a mobile game first- you're meant to play it over the course of months and months pretty slowly, you were trying to progress through it like an actual game, while I obvs cant speak on the actual speed you did it at but it sounds like you did the 35 or so hours over the course of a few weeks. Glad its dying a death tho so it wont waste anyone elses time

I recently started ESO and I've been loving it. It really is the ultimate Elder Scrolls package and doesn't comprimise the scale or tone of the setting, something I was initially worried about. You really can choose to do a lot of terrible or good things and the game reacts to it. I set the third person camera centered like Oblivion and that made the game click for me way more as that is what I've always prefered.

Thank you for saying that Castles has peak vibes. While I'll never like the constant micromanaging, I do think Castles has a really good aesthetic that fits the kind of game it is, like a cartoonized Oblivion, or if Prequel Adventure wasn't stuck being Elder Scrolls Homestuck. I can kinda understand if people don't like that, but it's the perfect art style for a light-hearted, cozy mobile game. I also think the soundtrack stands alongside the cozier tracks of the main series for how good it is. It's probably the best thing about the game.

I should give ESO a shot, I remember playing it a little as a kid when it came out but now over a decade later maybe I should get it another try, I got back into Fallout 76 and love it, genuinely think it’s better than Fallout 4 as a vanilla experience, and I play it as if it were a single player experience simply focusing on main and side quests, so ESO will probably appeal to me as well.

So when it comes to eso, well, so far I have like over 470 hours in and so far I’ve finished just entirety of Aldmeri dominion, ebonheart pack and daggerfall covenant, plus Vvardenfell and mages guild, thieves guild, fighters guild and dark brotherhood so… I still have ton of play to do. Game is kinda easy if you’re playing only missions and you’re not exploring the entire zone. World bosses are quite hard, especially if you don’t know how game works and dungeons are something much much more harder, ideally for group of people, unless you have good gear, good skills and you know what you’re doing. I can totally recommend you to play more, as main story is not even as good as some of the stories and quests you can find there.
