I really appreciate fails videos. Not because it’s fun to diss on things, but it really helps the viewer to know an influencer doesn’t love EVERYTHING, which can feel disingenuous. It’s also super helpful to hear WHY a particular product didn’t work. I would love a fails video every month just as people do their faves 🧐😬

Hello Michele :) A massive thank you for saving me money on the Dior foundations. I actually purchased the matte version of the Dior foundation right after I watched your review on the Glow foundation. Since we can't return used products in Europe I asked for a little sample pot (because of your review) and it really didn't work for me as well. I have combination skin. I didn't like how the foundation looked on my face and yes, it did oxidize a lot on my skin as well. Also it didn't wear beautifully throughout the day. I returned the unopened foundation. I'm really grateful for your reviews. xoxo

You are so right about the CT mattes! They’re truly appalling except for the colors. I thought I was doing something wrong or had a bad batch but if Wayne Goss can’t get them to work what hope to the rest of us have?

Completely agree about the Chanel lip and cheek balm, which also worked well on my cheek, but made my lips try to run away, screaming. I’ve had problems with Dior foundations oxidizing for several years and avoided them. That actually left a gap in my choices of foundations that worked, pretty much limiting me to Armani Silk and occasionally, Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder. I have to thank you for broadening my choices: since finding your channel, I’ve successfully tried Cle de Peau, Sisley and Surratt. None of them have oxidized and offer shades pretty close to what I need.

I know everyone is tired of Stila but they have suede liquid eyeshadows that I tried on a whim because of the price. They’re amazing. Blendable, dries down nicely but not too quickly. Sometimes companies just have things figured out even if they’re not super exciting or the IT brand of the moment.

I really appreciate your honest reviews, as here in the UK we can't return any cosmetics once opened so you can get stuck with some costly mistakes. I had my eye on a couple of CT EtM pots as a change from my fave MAC Paint pots, but luckily watched your video first 😊

Your description of the matte Eyes to Mesmerize is so good! I was so excited for these I purchased three shades immediately. I was super confused. They were like little hockey pucks inside the container. I thought about throwing them out but decided to keep trying. So I tried using a small dense round synthetic brush and swirl it around the top of the product. Quickly blend it around because it dries fast and that’s it. Don’t expect much pigmentation this way but it works. I thought maybe Duraline or some other makeup mixer might work but haven’t tried that yet.

I so appreciate your dry, dry skin! I use you as a barometer for any products that just don't mesh with our super dry skin! I did not purchase any of your fails this time, but I would add the CT Beautiful Skin Foundation as that one didn't work for me- it looked like the CT Clay Mask on my skin!

SAME! Everyone with dry skin seemed to like the Ct foundation and I can’t stand it! It not only brought out every bit of dryness or texture, but it like created its own texture lol

I also watch Michele for her dry skin! The CT works beautifully for me with a damp beauty blender - a little goes a long way. I hear you, though, on HG products that just won't work -- I'm looking at you, Armani Luminous Silk!

Was so disappointed in Dior's foundation re-formulation - and really appreciated your thoughts, as I was considering a re-purchase. My most recent fail were the Armani Lip Power lipsticks. Underwhelming shades (contrary to their vivid color claims), and emphasized every fine line on my lips that I didn't think that I had (I'm 49). Yes, thanks, Armani, but that would be a negatory on those. 'Some' of these luxury beauty brands are obviously eager to re-capture consumers, post pandemic, so I'm feeling like they are rushing their releases. They def need to take a harsh look at themselves prior to this year's Spring product releases, that's for sure!. Thanks for being candid about your fails.

The Chanel lip and cheek worked on lip and cheek for me. I’m combination skin. They had to warm up a bit but were nice and emollient on lip and cheek for me.

Thank you for your fails video. I was curious about the Dior Forever Glow Foundation as I’ve heard good things from the older formula. After seeing several “meh” reviews, I opted for the Dior Natural Nude foundation. I purchased the shade 2.5 Neutral and I am enjoying how it feels on my skin and it’s in my price range. I am curious about the Chanel cheek balm as my skin is Uber dry but I never find cheek products work for lips.

I have to admit that I think I have to return the Dior foundation too. I really loved the finish of it on my skin, but I wore it over 12+ hours one day and it was so oxidized! :( I couldn't believe how different the color was from the morning. Hey Michele, Try putting the Dior Lip maximizer in nude or pink underneath the Chanel Baums. It's a lovely combination and that will fix the issue. I apply them with a lip brush. I love this combo. I love this on my lips but not as much on my cheeks but I will wear it. I LOVE the healthy pink color on my lips!!! Ps. Happy Valentine's Day!

Great info i find that sometimes if products have been shipped it sometimes can be the case of how and where the product is stored or kept in a delivery van. I've had to return a product which i always use to the store for replacement because of this. Ooo and i like your ear rings .

Michelle I just recently purchased the new Dior Forever Reformulation in the matte version. The exact same thing happened by the end of the day it turned orange on me even though it was supposed to be an olive shade. It oxidises so bad. It’s a shame because the formula is great but the shade oxidation is a deal breaker for me. Thanks for your content Michelle. ❤️

Beauty companies should take note and try and improve their products. Beauty is too expensive to be left in a drawer and it is wonderful that you try out these products and share your experiences. Something has changed with Dior foundation. I have always worn 3N in Airflash. I bought a new one and 3N was downright peach. I swatched it next to my other foundations and yup, peach 🍑!

That’s why you are my go to! My skin is Sahara desert, not enough oil to make a pimple, crinkly skin dry! Very few powders work for me and the KoGen Do (so) is the best for me also!

As for the Chanel No 1 Lip and Cheek balm, it worked very well for me. However the 2 shades (Red Camellia and Berry Boost) I have are completely different from what you tested. Maybe that 2 shades that you have are the ones that are problematic. I have dry lips though.

hi! i found when i used the chanel lip brush meant the balms were great on my lips too, it also meant i could take the balms out with me as the brush has lids so safe in handbag too!! 😊

On the Chanel cheeks and lips…maybe is a shade thing? Because I have the shade Vital Beige and it performs beautifully in both lips and cheeks. I’ve used it everyday and I LOVE it. I do have dry lips and it works perfect! I hit pan if that tells you how much I’ve used and how much I love it, ordering a replacement!

I found the Chanel cheek and lip balm to be very nice but not one of my favs. I’m not sure I’ll purchase another color. The funny thing is it’s the best of all my other cream lip/cheek products. It gives me a beautiful sheen.
