Some nice finds, Chris. The Chameleons from Middleton in Greater Manchester are a very influential and many other bigger-selling artists cite them as being an important band. I like their song 'Less Than Human', in particular, well worth a listen on 'The Fan and The Bellows'(1986) , a collection of early recordings 1981-83, which I remember buying in Bolton.

Hi 👋 I like Poco. I have a best of titled Crazy Loving The best of Poco 1975 - 1982. I like their song Indian Summer from 1977. I like Blondie. I haven't seen that record before. I like the cover artwork. I would play their album Parallel Lines back in 1978 to death.

Yeah, I’ve got all of the ‘Night Versions’ which are fantastic. I just love a 12”. Great sound & a bargain price. Beat The Clock is one of the great extended mixes.

The Chameleons were championed by John Peel, their 45 'In Shreds' always made his 'Festive 50' for many years, classic post-punk band imo cheers!

Nothing wrong with 12” singles. I remember there being endless 12” mixes of Frankie Goes to Hollywood tracks. I’m with you on 70s Tangerine Dream. Lucky finds there.

Wonderful pickups with the two Tangs albums - superb stuff. Zeit is a must, a classic of minimal ambient electronics. The first album Electronic Meditation is well worth having too, but as I'm sure you are aware, is totally different to what came after. Cheers... Pete

I've got the CD box set of the first four Tangerine Dream albums which is really nice actually. Don't think I've ever seen any of them on vinyl.

Better on CD as you get greater clarity with no background noise

I had heard of Bolin's early band, but never seen those before. I have those Blondie B-sides as bonus tracks on one of their cd's. Just bought today Smoke On The Water 40th anniversary rsd single. Did you make a video on your Deep Purple collection? Pasi

High Chris, a few there I wouldn't touch with asbestos gloves on.😂 As for The Chameleons, I think they're still touring but with only two original members, I'm not quite certain but I think one of them died.

some words from a russian collector - One day the thought crossed my mind - time is running at the speed of sound so what's this all for? Besides I no longer like groups like Magazine or The The ( Although I have it all ) since the new artist create a much better music - kzbin.info/www/bejne/kF7Won2VaLGEeqM -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2nYh4BqaJufldU

@@TheVinylOrchard Hello. I'm a novice on this 'stuff'. I didn't realise I had actually sent a message. I thought I had quit out of 'it'. I saw your post about punk 45s a few months ago and thought that you may have sneaked into my back room while I was out. Apart from a couple of the more obscure UK bands I had almost all of the 45s. Each time I've watched your posts it has been the same. We obviously have similar tastes and are approximately of the same vintage. What a lot of great stuff we've had to entertain us over the years! I think you made a comment about Hendrix' All Along the Watchtower as few posts ago. I like another cover of that song by an Antipodean player. Kevin Borich is from NZ and came to Australia many years ago when he was in a band called the La De Das. They were a pop-style band and had a few hits here. I think this version of that song is great. It wasn't quite a fit with their genre but I still like it. You might too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWrGfZuEnJ2disk
