We are devastated to share the news that our beautiful bear Tulip, who many of you have been following on social media, has suddenly passed away.
Animals Asia’s Founder and CEO Jill Robinson wanted to send our followers a personal note to announce the news, and explain what happened to our gorgeous girl.

Oh this is such sad news. Tulip was fast becoming one of my favourite bears, so sweet, playful and a joy to watch her settling in to her home. My thoughts go out to the entire team who were looking after her - Shaun you did the absolute best and obviously cared deeply for her - and I wish I was there to give you all a big hug. I too am mourning the loss of my Godfather who passed away on the 5/6. He was also a keen believer in rescuing all the bears in captivity so I am hoping that he and Tulip are at peace and happy wherever they may be. 🙏😥♥️

In Vietnam, bear bile farming has been illegal for decades, but was specifically outlawed in 2005 at which point the bears on farms were microchipped to ensure no new bears could be added. Animals Asia signed an MOU with the Vietnam government in 2017 to end bear bile farming in the country for good and rescue the remaining bears who still live on farms.

Sorry to hear of Tulip's passing this day. Her troubles started long ago when trapped into a cruel industry of artificially removing important part of a bear's normal functioning. Love all your new videos and update videos on released bears. Also happy to hear of remaining bears in Viet Nam that will in few short yrs will enjoy freedom of life away from Clutches of such a perverted industry capitalizing on the Lives of innocent wild bear population.
