I have only seen the NYPD patrol my street once in the past few weeks, and that was on the evening of July 4th, only after a few tons of fireworks went off on my corner. The crowd yelled out "Here comes the social workers". So sad.

July 12, 2020---Curious.....What is the cop vs citizen ratio today? What was it going back to the 1930's for example and then, every 10 or even 20 years? Also, are there ANY cops who actually walk a beat? That is, they have X number of blocks to patrol. Also, how many people actually KNOW their cops either by sight or name? Otherwise, they all look the same as they cruise by in the neighborhood.
