As a conconstruction worker in Toronto that works on these Buildings from ground, up. The building cost is about 10% of the sold price. Everything is cheaply built and covered up with "expensive" looking cosmetics. I've worked on some of Toronto's most "luxurious" buildings...stop wasting your money and build a custom built house instead.

Thst's crazy!! It's a commerial building. I can't see them cheaping out on the foundation, sound proofing. There's codes they have to adhere to. I can see them using cheaper drywall. But for some marble counter top I didn't see much in the way of expensive finishes, ha ha. I saw pot lights. Not one expensive lighting fixture.

btw, I didn't mean you were crazy. The fact that the developers are that greedy to do that, which I'm sure that's a real possibility, are the crazy ones.

@@jobrownsmith116 a lot of inspectors don't go though everything to check, especially a 55 story building. Half of the time, they just write it off as a pass without even showing up to the job sites. As as electrician, the amount of fire harzard I've seen - exposed wires behind walls. Just so electrical problems can be fix without damaging drywall. Didn't have time to fix it properly as move in day was closd by.

The broker said that the owner had never lived there. Pretty standard for Toronto, where most of the high-end condo units are sold as investments. I can see 10 Yorkville from my co-op building and its more than half empty all year round....there are only lights on a few floors. When the city has a housing crisis, it feels almost criminal to have all those empty units.

These people work their @$$ off to get that kind of money. We're not responsible for homeless people, they chose their lives they can also can goto work ( I'm sure that they can find work in a nearby factory or whatever to not to be homeless). We pay higher taxes then average people and government provides enough aid to the poor people and they still stay poor.

@@the_equilibrium Sorry......I feel you're terribly misinformed. There are many reasons why people can become homeless and laziness is rarely one of them. Landlords can kick people out of their homes in order to raise rents and/or renovate and many times those people become homeless through no fault of their own. Please do some reading about inequality issues.

Yes, you are right. A close friend of mine used to be VP at one of the departments at the Four Seasons Hotel corporate office and said that pretty much all/most owners of these Four Season luxury condos are customers of the hotel. Thus, why they comprise mostly of non-Canadians. Instead of paying for nightly stays at the hotel, when they’re in town for business or leisure, they’d rather stay at a property they can own as an investment, have the comforts of home and the amenities hotel patrons have (aka the internal phone to connect with concierge). Primarily for investment purposes, both for Four Seasons Hotel and the owners of these units. They’re viewed as a vacation home for most. Many of them own multiple properties and homes around the world. That’s common for the rich.

In china if you buy a property you can only own it for 70 years or Latin America (like in venezuela) the government manages to destroy the value of its coin, now imagine you being a billionaire. Where would you put your money? Canada offers safety and praticity, but do not think this is bad for the country, with the construction sector booming there are more jobs and more money circulating in the city and also the many tax payers and businesses men who invest in the country. If the inflation and ppl being pushed away from the city sounds bad, think that many Canadians usually leave downtown in their 30s in order to start a family.

I’ve been watching dozens of penthouse tour videos in Toronto and as someone who loves to cook I’m dismayed by the total lack of pot-filler faucets behind these wonderful stovetops. Kitchens with all the bells & whistles a chef could dream up but no pot fillers! What gives? Do the developers or architects or whomever not see the need for such a convenience or is it something else I haven’t thought of? I’d really love to know why this isn’t a thing in Toronto’s priciest condos.
@albertn.1742

I agree that it'd be nice to have pot fillers considering the price. Probably because a good chunk of the buyers don't live in their units as it's an investment or they're hardly ever staying there and actually cooking. They probably have private chefs or butler service to take care of that for them

Marble is the worst stone for a kitchen or washroom. It is porous and scratches easily. Anyone notice the hostess scratch the counter with stovetop cover? They even joked about the marble cracking! All residences above the terrace = cigarette and joints all over the terrace. CSA: Yorkville is not not a AAA neighborhood-A- at best. As a Vinitourist, I confidently say the food and drinks at all the restaurants featured here is below par and over priced. For Quality food and a greater selection of quality wines, beers, and spirits one must travel a solid 15 minutes by car out of the neighborhood.

The library should be all (chestnut, why not) wood and where the russet is hiding put a floor to ceiling bar flanked by two wooden columns, temperature controlled cabinet display and a sliding ladder for fetching books or bottles from the high shelves.

When the Toronto market crashes because people are spending 60% of their income to live in "luxury" condos, this condo's price will lose a zero on the value.

Ash ESO NY/LA is not comparable to Toronto. Go do some research on the numbers, that alone will tell you. Toronto is more like Chicago and yet still with lower wages and less lucrative opportunities.

@@asheso3048 you can get a penthouse facing central park in nyc for 11.5 million bigger than this overpriced condo with a much much better view. You can google Ryan Serhant. He's a top nyc broker you can find videos there.

@@jayvarma6473 Overpriced I agree. Keep in mind tho that this Penthouse is in The Four Season Hotel with added concierge benefits. I would hate to see the monthly condo fees for this unit.

I wouldn’t pay a penny for any property in the city of Toronto. I would by in the country. I would also want lake front. That’s where I would buy. Privacy. 😃🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂⚖️

The view is really bad...don’t know how it can cost 10 mil. Fair value should be around 2 mil max. Master bedroom looks exactly the same as my bedroom currently leasing for $1000

3800sq ft, so its $3100 per sq ft, plus 2000 sq ft terrace. Thats very tempting.

this broker is a typical snobby markham mom that spends her sundays at nervosa lmao. nothing about this place is desirable... there are so many beautiful condos here that have insane design and deserve a platform to show how beautiful toronto can be

For $12 million it would be great if it was a direct waterfront.

What is the point of buying a condo for 12 million and having such a crappy view in comparison with what you would see from the other side of the building? Spend a little more money and get a view of the lake, cn tower, and the downtown skyline
