Sie haben recht, auch das Bild ist Romantik pur. Durch die Bevölkerungsverdichtung infolge der unaufhaltsam steigenden Weltbevölkerung, verdichtet sich der Freiraum für den Einzelnen, er verliert seinen individuellen "Käfig" und erstickt in der Vermassung. Noch hat er die Möglichkeit sich in ein "Schneckenhaus" zurückzuziehen um dort seinen Stil zu verwirklichen, diese muss er ergreifen.

Splendid work this Pau the music of a flute virtuoso and composer. Even his friend Wolfgang arranged a concerto , he wasn’t keen on the flute, but was asked to write a concerto for flute. Wendling must have been devastated by the death of his talented daughter 4 years before his own death?

Extraordinary! 1777/8 Amadeus was not able to find a job in 5 cities - Munich, Augsburg,..., Mannheim (elector Karl Theodor; Christian Cannabich) - In his letter of December 6, 1777, Mozart explains to his father how he intends to publish arrangements of Cannabich's ballet "Ulisse e Orphée"- Mozart composed KV 284e - for one of the flute concertos of Mannheim's court flutist, Johann Baptist Wendling.
