You made the pot into a double boiler. 😂 It's okay. I have a friend who supplies me with beeswax from their hives, I mix that with my oils; you just need a low ratio and enough other butters that will be solid at room temperature.

I discovered massage candles years ago on a trip to Las Vegas. There was a little shop at the Venetian called Basin and they had soap, bath bombs, message candles…all sorts of beautiful skin loving products. I haven’t gotten one in a long time but now that you have reminded me of them, I think I’ll make some.

It's a myth that shea is heat sensitive. Sheanuts are cooked on very high heat to get the butter so it can handle the heat. In fact, when sheabutter becomes gritty It's recomended to heat and hold it on about 80 degree celsius for 20 minutes and then cooled dowm rapidly to avoid grittiness. Baraka shea butter has a good tutorial on tempering shea on their fb page. Cocoabutter on the other hand is the one that cant handle high heat or beeing heated to long. Heat destroys the crystalline structure of cocoabutter and it can happen that the butter never solidifys again

Massage candles are awesome but you jus gave me an idea with massage lotions 💡 what if we added just a tinny bit of an emulsifier or emulsifier blend to the wax or butter phase 🤔 the candle would emulsify on wet skin and voila "a true lotion 😊" would be formed.

Omg, thank you so much for this wonderful video.❤. I came to know about this maybe a year ago. And I wanted to try, but the container was the issue. Anyway, I heard that there is something called a serum candle, and it's different from a massage candle. Honestly, I don't know whether there is a difference or not. I also saw people using just butter and oils to make the candle instead of wax. I don't know how it might turn out. I would love to see you doing more projects on massage candles, please.
