Speaking of ingredients in bread, I found a pita bread at the local grocery store that I almost bought. Then I checked the label. The THIRD ingredient was Benzyl Peroxide, the concentrated chemical used in acne products to burn and dry up acne on the skin. I used it as a teen, there are warnings all over the tube to use properly. It wasn’t even one of the last ingredients, it was listed as one of the major first few ingredients. Lesson I learned, you NEVER know what you’re being sold - always check the label! Love your videos Delilah!

Delilah, you are a gift. I live in the SF Bay Area - hustle culture. My career and ministry was everything. Then I had my first child & balancing things became challenging. Then, a year after having my second child, my health crashed hard. I had to leave my job. This was 4 years ago and I've been recovering ever since. It's a long story but basically, my nervous system said "STOP, life is too much, and you are not living in alignment". I even had a surprise blessing third child during my health crisis (another wild story for another time). Anyway, my health journey and my children have pivoted my life - coincidentally, their names are Colton, Theodore, and Eloise :). I love your videos because I think your way of living is what my heart has always desired. This has been quite a revelation for me. I always thought I'd be a career woman. Homemaker just didn't feel right to me, & as much as I love my kids, I wasn't really connecting with them before I got sick. But now, because of this healing journey and because of God's graciousness, I see that He's given me a second chance at life - to serve and love my family, and live the way I truly desire. I look at your life, and that's what I want, and I'm making the small steady steps towards it. Thank you for being a wonderful example for all of us to glean from. To me, this is what a FULL, ABUNDANT life looks like.

Beautiful video, especially because you speak about the beauty of winter, since it is my most favourite season, and I love it for the same reasons you mentioned, I love how quiet and peaceful winter is, spring and summer are just way to busy for me and they bring me so much anxiety. Not to mention how much i hate insects and mosquitoes 😊

I’m with u!! I love winter, but not if it snows too much! The reason being is because I’m a senior, and don’t have a car, so can’t get across the street to dollar general, or walk the 3&1/2 blocks to grocery store! But we don’t usually have a lot of snow anymore, thank goodness!! I do however hate summer!! It’s so so hot! And the the humidity is just ou of sight! And I try not to run the AC much, because of the cost, so- - - -

In South Louisiana, my daughter will likely never have a snow day. I'm 30 and I've had two legitimate snow days in my entire life! And it's looked nothing like this, it's like an icy sludge mess.. Winter here is rain and mud. My girl goes outside and makes "grass angels" sometimes 😭 Happy you've found beauty in such a beautiful winter setting. We get so depressed in the winter down here, it's just gross... Trying to find beauty in ours. Maybe the fact that we never get snowed in is a nice thing!

I had the same feeling about January and have also always been super bitter toward winter before this year (from Ontario, so not quite as severe, but still Canadian winter, lol). So interesting. Also can't imagine not having garlic stuffed meat, my family has always cooked that way, no matter the dish! Also works well to make slices in a roast chicken and shove the garlic slivers in there. So good.

I also used to really dread winter coming. I think what changed that for me was getting married in November and going to the white mountains of New Hampshire for my honeymoon. It was snowing and it was the most wonderful magical week of my life. So that’s what I associate the coming of winter with now. It’s a happy magical time to celebrate my wedding anniversary. ❤️ Another thing about the dark days that I love is that sunrise happens later which I get to see it more often. Sunrises are my favorite because they’re so brilliant but you have to work harder to see them.

I would love to live north of where we are, in Oregon... When I hear you say that it doesn't get light until 9 and gets dark at 6, that sounds so nice! I love winter, and we don't often get much snow. It is my hope to live in a snowy winter climate. It's funny how different people can be. I love fall and winter and have tried to figure out how to like spring and summer. I was able to like spring, and now I'm focusing on summer. Half way there to finding things to like about summer. At about March, I get nervous because winter is over soon and I know it's going to be the warmer season. It seems like the exact opposite of what you go through. :) I love natural light and bright spaces, but I just love the mood, cold weather, and beauty of fall and winter! Thank you for a beautiful, inspiring video. ❤
