Art Garfunkel is still very much alive. He's semi-retired from the music business, but he and Paul still tour together from time to time. There's a saying about the song Sound of Silence that's been going around the internet that I tend to agree with. Simon & Garfunkel's original was a gentle warning of things to come. The Disturbed cover from a few years ago was an angry response that the warning had been ignored. The Pentatonix cover is an optimistic and hopeful expression that the warning may still be heard. Pentatonix will be resuming their long-delayed world tour in 2022.

Yes, they do this song justice. I love the original... it was a song from my youth that really moved me. PTX takes the authentic pathos in the lyrics and adds their signature harmonies and individual talents to crank it up a notch. Great reaction, as always! I'm also interested in your reaction to their cover of Kiiara's "Gold." Suggestion: watch the original first, to appreciate how Mitch creates a non-digital vocal chop.

One more great follow up to this is their own version of Amazing Grace which came out around Christmas of 2020. Two more acapella groups to explore are Home Free and also Voiceplay and one particular artist if you, haven't heard of her is Morissette Amon and I would suggest her early Wishbus stuff such as Secret Love Song and Never Enough

Recky, I'm so glad you are still showing us more PTX. The copyright issues stop many. There are other things you can do. Making their video transparent, and especially superimposing something over their video--like a logo--seems to work well for many. Keep it up, we love you for it! And isn't Matt something There could never be another Avi, so it had to be something else equally wonderful. Why are they so good? Sheer talent and constant work and practice, of course. That's how you get to Carnegie Hall, after all.

I think you would also enjoy "Imagine" , one of John Lennon's songs. I actually wasn't crazy about his version but I absolutely loved what Pentatonix did with it. It is worth listening to and also to watch. Beautifully done. Listen to "The Prayer" also.

I don’t even think you realized you were swearing like a sailor all the while saying you want to keep this clean. Understandable! It is so much fun to watch someone else experience PTX the way I did the first time hearing these songs - well maybe without the swearing. I enjoyed your reaction to this song. They are fantastic. I don't think I have heard any of their songs that I didn't like. They can take a song and bring freshness to it but not change it so you can't recognize it. I loved Hallelujah, Imagine, Mary Did You Know and we don't have enough room for the list. Thank you. Come Along is great and Matt sings in it. I highly recommend La La Latch and Rather Be. They’re both early on and with Avi. I don’t know the original songs but the arrangement is La La Latch is great. If you want all thing Matt check out You’re a Mean One, Mr Grinch. His delivery is animated (not cartoon animated) and he really plays the part. I think there’s a missed opportunity for Disney or someone else should do a feature animated movie. Kirstin, Mitch and Scott were all in musical theatre and you can see it in their videos. They often take on their part as if they’re acting. If you want a belly laugh watch Superfruit’s Frozen Medley. Superfruit is just Scott & Mitch. For this video Kirstin joins them. It’s no budget production and they really have fun with it. Same as Wicked (just Scott & Mitch). I has 2 hours sleep last night. I’m not sure I’m making any sense. Thanks for the reaction. This cover is amazing ☮️💟

Whether you react to it or not, and don't let the band name disturb you (pun intended lol). You must, have to, watch the video or live version of Disturb's cover of Sound of Silence. Even Paul Simon himself gave it his approval.

I told/tell my son (who tries to convince me he gets to be 14 lol) that he has to know ALL the words before he can use the "Bad" words. Him and his Dad used to read the dictionary for words he didn't "Know" yet. Lol It didn't/doesn't stop him from swearing like a sailor but he does have an exceptionally high vocabulary. And they both REALLY enjoyed it. The first time I saw it was hilarious after that was just ahhh you 2 are just so weird it's Soo cute. 😂

I can certainly understand your frustration with pausing. Here is the link to a pair of reactors and how they got around copyright on bohemian rhapsody with as i recall you've already seen. Superfruit is Mitch and Scott. They do you some instruments. I would start with their cover of rise bye Katy perry. They sing it with Brian Justin crum, who's performance of creep on America's got talent will really give you goosebumps, Mario jose and Mary Lambert. It was done following the shooting at the pulse night club. Their frozen medley featuring Kirstin maldonado is also very good. Finally the former bass of Pentatonix, Avi Kaplan, has his own solo career and the song to start with Is change on the rise. Another great reaction As Always. I didn't miss your cat in this video. I really want to hear his opinion on Pentatonix. I think he would think they are the cat's meow. Yes I went there. I couldn't help myself. Shame on me.

I really enjoy the PTX cover of this song and absolutely love what they do with their voices but nothing will ever surpass the version Disturbed did. So if you haven't heard that yet, please give it a listen. I know you'll love the official music video and they also have a brilliant live performance they did on the Conan Show. Both are amazing and will give you goosebumps.

You have words -- that is when you should pause and comment. Their sound, looks, wardrobe or anything you like. I have also seen some reactions that play completely through without stopping. Some place their own logo, like your RR over the video or some have blurred the video but I don't always watch the reactor's full video because I want to see the Reactor's face and expression when MITCH hits you hard. I have seen some "flip" and PTX video is Large and the reactor's box is smaller.

I know you have issues with pausing, but that's ok, its part of giving reactions on youtube. However, some reactors have had luck with putting a filter/transparency over the music video, resulting in not needing to pause (or pausing much less). And honestly, people can always go see the original video if they want to see the full visuals.
