just want to add my thanks for taking the time to video your work . There's enough going on just sitting up the rigging and making the cuts, so I am sure setting up the camera shots just adds time to an already tough job. Great to watch a pro at work. Thank you Reg, Always love your videos .

Great work Reg, it never ceases to amaze me how large homeowners will allow tees so close to everything that matters. Great for pricing and yet a headache to climb but you make it look too easy removing this large tree so close to the house. I get these type of trees 50% of the time. They test your skills.

I really liked this video. Not many tree removal or tree work videos these days that keep my attention where I watch the whole thing. This one is a winner. I don't have time for 20 minutes of talk and life on a video. Good smooth rigging shown here and fast pace. Really liked it. It was fun seeing old XRR slings still being used that you got long ago, but still strong and kickin. Nice work as always Reg.

Very clean work Reg!, you are one of the best climbers that I have ever had the experience of watching besides myself lol, I have been climbing for over 35 years and do many cuts/moves similar if not the same way as you do and believe it or not also have a 020T which I like but prefer a good ol 011 on most of my climbs where single handing a saw is not an issue. The 011 pulls through bigger diam limbs quicker than the 020T and has 43cc's of displacement compared to about 35 or so on the 020. Having 3 bucket trucks including a 100 footer creates a whole new routine for removals. Take care and climb safe my friend.

Great video montage of cuts and impressive skills. As violent as the tree was shaking it looked scarier than when you were topping those super high trees near the roadways. Thanks for the content, my little 2 year old who’s obsessed with chainsaws and tree workers loved this video.
@spelunkerd3 жыл бұрын
Wow, that is so complicated. Over a day of work, I can imagine many places where a slight misjudgement of stretch or distance or even how tightly the line is pretensioned would be serious. I'm sure lesser men would hire a crane to reduce the chance of error, then pass that huge expense on to the customer. Lots of little things are done here that would be easy to overlook, like the way you placed the stump wedge at the end to prevent the log from rolling into the adjacent home. Thumbs up, man!

Fantastic work. How do you gauge where to attach your rigging line on the branch you are cutting? I kept thinking “that looks too far out there,” but then it would fold and drop precisely where it needed to. Sometimes I struggle knowing where to tie on to the piece being cut.

In the homeowners mind it needed to come out because of the proximity to the 2 houses, and that it was rotten. The municipal Arborist decided it was a reasonable request and granted a permit. Our job was to come in and remove the tree in a safe manner. Thats really all there is to it.
