Hey everyone! During my last week of summer, I found myself over in Seattle's Capitol Hill area on a Wednesday afternoon - which happens to be their trash day. I noticed full trash and recycle bins in the area I was in, so I figured I'd see if any trucks were nearby. Sure enough, I saw this one down the street immediately, and after catching up to inquire about filming, I managed to grab these 3 1/2 minutes before he was finished with the two blocks that were left. Despite the video being quite short, I was excited to finally have the chance to film Recology up here in the PNW - besides a few one-off clips, I haven't filmed Recology since I left California. Nine months later, it's about time I film Recology King County! Their operations are pretty similar to San Francisco, except their residential side loaders like these are a bit smaller - and all trucks sport the "Lettuce Compost More" wrap. It felt good to film some SF style collection, and I was glad to catch that Allied Waste Otto in the last clip. You'll also see a glimpse of two mini rear loaders tag teaming trash a half block over - there were three trucks together at one point! With that, thanks to the driver, Kyle, for allowing me to film - hope you found the video! Enjoy!
*After filming this truck, I recorded a full length video of an ACX Heil RL on residential recycling, which will be uploaded at a later date
Filmed on August 30th, 2023 with an iPhone 12 in Seattle's Montlake/Capitol Hill neighborhood
