When I lived in SoCal we had Waste Management service. They are THE BEST! Three times a year they had a free "ANYTHING" pick up day. If you called them for a container replacement they were ON IT! They drove three kinds of trucks a week in my neighborhood: A Recycle. A trash, and a green waste. They were on schedule every week. Also, you could call them for a special pick up anytime in advance. It carried a charge, but was very handy. Up here in Oregon our service is for shit! The scenery is hard to beat, but I sure miss WM! A great company!

Very nice compilation Issac, and congrats on 1k! I'm glad the Forest Grove yard bought Labrie experts that aren't CNG. Every single Condor here was spectacular! This video reminded of my Oakland, CA footage a few years back, seeing the Kann and Amrep MSL. Speaking of MSLs, my favorite had to be the Volvo Curbtender, looks like it was operating in a busy area; can't wait for a full video of that! The recyclers really pack some history for WM, considering they're what kicked off curb-sorted recycling many years ago. All of these trucks are in Oregon/Washington/Illinois, right? Now I know where I want to go next year. Awesome video man and way to make a comeback. Here's to another thousand subs!

Great work Isaac! I really enjoyed the whole video, but what stuck out to me was the wxll curbtender mini msl, the condor wittke msl I REALLY liked!, and the condor amrep Octo msl reminded me of the great carbon copy trucks we had when I worked for the big green monster in the Bay Area. Ours were exactly the same, but they had a drop tag axle behind the rear axle. Ours were used on yard waste routes and up in the hills on trash (for a minute). I really liked those trucks. They were great to drive and for their size, could pack a good load of organics in them. Great job, like everyone else, I really look forward to the full videos of these trucks!

Those trucks seem so old fashioned. Where I live the recycle and trash containers are the same type of full size wheelie bin but different colors, with separate trucks for each. All the WM trucks in our area of SoCal have long arms so the truck can pull up beside a parked car and grab a barrel against the curb in front or behind the car. Is there such a thing as a garbage truck without squeaky breaks...?
@derhans26195 жыл бұрын
You would think right? Haha
@josephbennett34825 жыл бұрын
When they are first manufactured they don't have sqeaky brakes but after a while they get wear n tear because of the heavy compactor box and added trash load that they carry , it's definitely an issue with rear loaders because of the 10 ton compactor blade hardware hanging on the back. Just because they are sqeaky doesn't mean they are defective or dangerous it's just due to the weight.
@fpsMAGEZ5 жыл бұрын
Actually the wear and tear is from stopping 1000 times a day (residentials), the weight isnt such a big deal because they're designed for that. Highway trucks only gradually apply the brakes every now and then when needed, not every 30 seconds like these trucks
