I recently read a self published book called Silvertongue by Casey White. I really really enjoyed it. I think you would like it too. There’s a lot of really great character moments and realistic feeling and paced character development. Also, it has a simple, but really creative magic system. I love it. Strong recommend.

I just recently self-published my own book! It's a new adult comedic fantasy adventure about a ragtag bunch of hopeful heroes who hate one another. It's entitled The Mis-adventurers: An (Almost) Epic Tale. So far, the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive! Great video! I love seeing booktubers promote indie works!

A lunar cycle (on earth) is approx 30 days. The time it takes to go from one phase of the moon (new, full, crescent etc.) to the next corresponding phase. So full moon to full moon, or new moon to new moon etc. Needless to say if it is a non earth based sci fi it could be whatever period the author wants it to be.

Thanks for this excellent indie lineup. So much high quality and innovation is available from self publishers nowadays. I hope everyone enjoys these books. And everyone, please please remember to review the indie books you read. It's a crucial life line for most indie authors. Otherwise, we get swamped out by the big names so easily.

I'd recommend Windswept by Kaitlin Bellamy, its the first in a self-published series called the Mapweaver Chronicles. Its a young adult fantasy focusing on the coming of age of Fox who begins to discover he has some magic despite the lands hes from being cursed from the gods generations ago. I thought the characters were all great and the world really develops, the sequel also really improves upon the first and the third comes out in the next couple months. One of my favourite self published finds of the year.

Excellent series recommendation i never see anyone recommend. The Elemental Mysteries Series by Elizabeth Hunter, it starts with A Hidden Fire. Incredible world building and characters well fleshed out. And she has several stand alone and series spin offs from this series.

The 2nd book "Orbit" in the Theonite series is actually out already since you really enjoyed the first one! Also, M.L. Wang has an adult fantasy set in the same world called Sword of Kaigen. I haven't read it yet, but I've heard from numerous reviewers that I trust that it is great and plan on reading it soon.

I read that whole Jordan Rivet series and I was beyond impressed with everything she does right. It has an interesting and well-developed magic system, the characters are deep and allowed to fail (with serious consequences), and addresses themes like family and politics exceptionally well.

Have you read Sword of Kaigen by ML Wang? It's a standalone and a bit of a prequel to her theonite series. An adult fantasy novel and one of my favourite books I have read this year. Also one of very very few books that made me cry like a baby.

You should check out the Ratcatchers Series by Matthew Colville. He's a couple books in now (Priest and Thief) and I really enjoyed them so far. They have more of a dark gritty feel to them than standard high fantasy.

I’d be interested in your take on Will Wight’s Cradle series. I think they get better with each book, and they’re re-re-re-reads for me. Rachel Aaron’s Heartstriker series is another I love. They’re just two unique authors in fantasy I can’t get enough of.

I dunno what I think exactly re SP books. I've noticed that u or utube lists ur no. of subs in terms of 61.7K not eg. 61700 or or 61748 or 61799 of a day or 2 ago. It doesn't matter a whole lot either way but I'm just wondering, did u make the change, or utube?

I read My only sunshine. For me it was good but not great. I also read On lina time and loved it! I really want to read more from these authors. And I want to read peace and turmoil but I prefer to read fantasy in my native language. I m to scared to start it in English. So cross my fingers maybe someday there will be a Dutch version...

Do you like cool action high fantasy books that take place in a world similar to the ones found in Dungeons & Dragons, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Conan the Barbarian, Elder Scrolls, Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Lord of the Rings, The Witcher, The Wheel of Time, Dark Souls, etc? One of the new indie authors during the past year is from the Middle East, and he wrote a pretty awesome novel for a 1st one, set in world full of various races, kingdoms, magic, creatures, cool items, and a pretty fantastic history & lore. It's called "The Chosen Rainheart" by Bader M. Alsadeqi.
