Recon! Rommel's War (Solitaire)

This is an unboxing of the solitaire or 2-player block wargame Rommel's War. Designed by Derek Croxton (designer of Archie's War: The Battle for Guadalcanal) and published by Worthington Publishing.
Rommel's War is a game about the first year of the war in the desert during World War 2, from March 1941 to January 1942. One player takes the role of Rommel in command of Axis forces, and the other player takes the role of the British commanders (Wavell and Auchinleck).
The game only has 8 pages of rules and a playing time of 1 hour or less so you will be picking the sand from your shorts in no time in this exciting, fast paced game of decision in the desert.
The game combat system does not use dice for combat. Combat is based on what side has the most strength AND best types of units present in the battle. Players must decide what and when to commit their units to the battle.
Keeping supply lines open and forward units in supply is a key element in the game. Also, unit speed plays a role for attacking and defending units and retreats.

I'll definitely be watching the playthrough. I typically insta-back Worthington games, but this video is the first time I've even seen a mention of solitaire play (other than both sidesing of course).

Just to be clear for anyone wondering, this is NOT the 1985 game with the same name from Vance von Borries. Although Derek does give him recognition in his designer notes.
