@@creativemindsyoutube I try to not miss your vids. I always learn something. What you said in the video is totally true. As a professional artist I kind of always struggle between being honest and sincere with my art and not listen the hype, the algorithm etc, and the fact that I have to pay my rent. That’s why it’s so difficult (specially right now cause I try to make my first solo album) and that’s why I get lost and can’t produce a thing. Your work confort me to produce what I really feel, hear and need. Later will to the time to promote and find my audience. So thank you

I know you mentioned something about not waiting for the perfect conditions at the end, but this video came at a perfect time in my life. I was just saying how I wasn't going to make music for the rest of the year because I am not feeling very creative as of late. I guess I have the mentality of wanting everything right now instead of taking my time and letting the art play out. Not everybody can be an NBA Youngboy and release albums every. I will definitely meditate on what I heard in this video. Stepping out of my comfort zone further is a must. I learned that I have a true artistic mind because I think quite similarly to the legends covered in this video. Sometimes it just feels good to hear someone tell you. When I do choose to make music again, I'm going to come back new and improved!

Discovered this video just now and it's great timing. I've been struggling to be passionate with music since finishing a uni course on music, definitely an environment where your values are manipulated with ideas how your music should sound if you want to make money. Something a lot of people don't seem to forget about producing art is that sometimes you enjoy the process and sometimes you enjoy the finish product and you have to treat those situations very differently. Like I enjoy the process of making music and the finished product but with drawing I only enjoy the finished product but I hate the process so I have to force myself much harder to draw.

Needed this, I'm a contemporary artist trying to create a career for myself and this past year I had a bit of success on that front. Not monetarily but through multiple exhibitions. Now however I found my self in strange place where I'm not sure what to create next, honestly I'm not feeling like creating, but I want to get back that "flo" state. Really appreciate the work you do, this video helped.

Be careful though. If you don't immediately log off and go create then what you can experience is that dopamine hit from resonating with the feeling of the video and by commenting and expressing your thoughts here (as opposed to idk in music) you can get a serotonin hit from a sense of accomplishment from identifying commonalities and expressing yourself in a satisfactory manner, because the latter is what we do with art/music and if you do this a few times you will find yourself in this cycle in order to get your brain to release those chemicals and before too long you'll find your "creative" outlets are watching tons of videos related to what you want to do and then commenting on them. Just saying. Something told me to say it. Maybe my failures as an artist lately idk.

Here's a site I was shown. It's like free word you can write save share or not add music etc. Plus for finished pieces there is a dope rhyme analyzer plus people from all over the world to write with. Years ago the random person on there was decent and interested in developing as well. Also like I tell everyone learn 5 albums front to back and you'll have it. Mos Def black on both sides, krs-one I got next, del the funky homosapien both sides of the brain, and outkast aquemini plus one album you pick. Once you can run those through you'll just sort of develop the ability. It's about time and depth of knowledge. Linguistics, grammar, literary devices, rhyme schemes, etc. Good luck

Again, very cool video. I just wish you would go beyond contemporary rappers to learn from. There are so many other creatives out there, and I feel like there is much to learn outside of the world of contemporary rap. Your Rick Rubin video is a good example of that. But people like Josh Homme, Dave Grohl, Basquiat and many other have also spoken about their creative process and it would be cool to see your take on their way of doing.

creative people feel like wasti8ng time, not reaching full potential and thats ok, you need to put in your mind that whats going to take you to win is the ability of WORKING when you don't have motivation. Motivation is a ILLUSION, it comes and goes, but your mind makes you believe that you need to feel this HOLLY force everyday. NO you can't be inspired like MOZART everyday. Get over yourself, sit down and spit another verse. We are machines that THINK. Make fun of your bad days, your bad music, and TRY again.
