Reconstruction of the Garrison Church in Potsdam 2023

There is a lot of controversy surrounding the reconstruction of the Garrison Church in Potsdam. Despite everything, reconstruction is progressing and you can see from a distance the beauty of the architecture that completes Potsdam's silhouette. If the ruins hadn't been blown up back then, the building would certainly have been reconstructed. Potsdam's past history must not lead to architecture and, in particular, the image of the city suffering. Let us enjoy the beauty of the building and be proud that we can make something like this possible.
That's why the Berlin television radio made its way to Potsdam to document the construction progress.

wichtig für eine Ensemble-Wirkung wird sein, daß nun auch das Umfeld der Kirche in seiner architektonisch-städtebaulichen Kleinteiligkeit wieder ersteht.
