The last section of the so-called Sofia's third city ring road - the extension of Todor Kableshkov Blvd. between Louis Ayer St. and Cherni Vrah Blvd. is expected to be ready by the end of 2014.
With its commissioning, a fast connection will be ensured between the two fastest growing neighborhoods in recent years, "Manastirski livadi" and "Krastova vada".
The construction period is 287 days
The extension of Todor Kableshkov Blvd. between Louis Ayer St. and Cherni Vrah Blvd. is 1.4 km long.
The project envisages the construction of a north and south carriageway along the boulevard, each of which will be 9 m wide.
The establishment of a tram route is also planned. In the future, when it is built, it will connect the trams from "Ovcha Kupel" Blvd. to "G.M. Dimitrov" metro station.
Cyclists are also considered in the project. One-way bike lanes will be built, each 2 meters wide.
Sidewalks will be made and new energy-saving LED lighting will be installed.
In parallel, the water supply network will be replaced, and a new bridge will be built over the Drenovichka River.
The completion date for the construction works is 287 days, and the contractor is GP Group.
The funds for the completion of the third ring come from the budget of the Metropolitan Municipality. They were secured through a loan from the European Investment Bank in the amount of BGN 120 million, drawn in 2021. Its repayment term is 20 years.
05:25 - Bul. "Filip Kutev" is part of the third city ring and, together with "Todor Kableshkov" Blvd., provides the connection between "Bulgaria" Blvd. and "Simeonovsko Shosse" Blvd. The new section is about 1.2 km long, with two traffic lanes of 10.50 m, with three lanes in each direction, new sidewalks with a bike lane. A dividing strip is preserved in the middle for the construction of a tram line.
The traffic lights will have frame indicators that will detect which direction the traffic is in, so that the phases of the traffic light can be adjusted and the traffic can be eased.

Баси, колко много се е застроил градът откъм южната страна на булеварда!!! Без промени в законът за строителството и изграждането на повече паркинги под сградите абсурд да намериш паркомясто! Добро видео със страхотен поглед към тази част на града!!!

Няма как всеки с кола - това е целта на градския. Няма столица, която да не се задръства, защото всеки иска с кола, а трафик се оправя с махането на паркоместа, не с добавянето. Те никога няма да са достатъчни, няма град където да са.
