Great moose. I’m not ready for moose yet. The magnum rifles are still too big for my frame. Deer and antelope for me still. Got a nice Blacktail in Alaska earlier last month tho!

I wonder how the bc wildfires are going to effect the 2018-19 season... it's a shame more then half the province got blazed.

Nice moose, could you have taken the meat from the one that was killed legally? What caliber rifle were you shooting. God bless
@marklumley6197 жыл бұрын
The rest of the bull is packed out in boxes strapped to the horses. Hunters either eat the meat or donate it to those who are economically strapped so they can eat too. I know it would be a lot of extra work but I hope that if the dead bull's meat was salvageable you did take it to donate.

I have never shot a moose over a 100 yards, we like to look them in the eye first.

Looks like way up North in BC. Before you mentioned the yardage, I was thinking that's a very long shot.

Thank you for knowing your rifle dope. There’s nothing more infuriating than seeing some moron taking multiple long shots on an animal only to end up with the poor animal dying gut shot with a broken back leg an hour later.

What do you do when you know that a bull has just been killed Within two days like you said or 3 days and the weather is cold can you take the meat from Matt Bull. If the One Bowl was killed by another ball and it's just laying out in the cold can the meat still be harvested harvested. Or do you even touch it do you just leave it do you even leave the antlers
@55vdub7 жыл бұрын
you can tag it but you have to remove all edible parts of the carcass and the antlers or leave it alone and remove nothing
@markmcclue44145 жыл бұрын
it's most likely spoiled sitting there for even a day or two. outside Temp doesn't matter when the inside is insulated with hide and meat.

It looks like you were using a Thompson Center Dimension rifle. What caliber did you use? How do you like the gun?
@MagnumGlobalMedia6 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael. It was a .300 win in Dimension. I love that gun. I bought one for each of my kids. One of the most accurate guns I've ever had too.

Such expensive gear and equipment. I'm pretty sure that they're bellies were full before they came out for that kill. I respect the hunter that does this out of necessity rather than sport.

You guys ever hear of stalking your prey? A 400 yard shot - that's not hunting, it bench rest shooting. You guys should be ashamed.

Just because of your fun only, those creatures have be killed? Why their life has be closed just because of your fun & pleasure only ?
@j.m.36486 жыл бұрын
It's not fun and pleasure, these animals are eaten. And what's not eaten right away is frozen until later. You should inform yourself a little more about the implications of hunting. I support the kill of that bull moose over a factory farmed cow that's never seen the light of day.

I would left the big bull live. And took the moose that was just killed. But by looks of it this is a sport hunt only.
@walkerfrommb6 жыл бұрын
You legally aren't allowed to in most provinces.
@rat-rodhobbie86746 жыл бұрын
In B.C. you arnt aloud to take naturally killed animals unless the conversation service oks it and by the looks of it the moose had been dead a while and the meat would be no good.
