The west abutment is gone, which is a failure. The dam is no longer controlling the release of water, which is what makes it a failure. Failure does not mean collapse in this sense, but it’s being reported as “imminent failure” so they’re not even really saying it failed yet but already basically has failed because the water is high enough to go around and destroy the abutment. Kind of a silly argument i mean just look at the video and you tell me if it looks like the dam is doing what it’s supposed to do…

💰 ~ Depends on what country you’re talking about. It’s easy to sit back on our couches and act like things are so simple. We have adversaries in the world who are playing a game of chess this long-term and they are happy to win step-by-step. And as Americans have such a short memory and we only care about today and tomorrow, we don’t look ahead. At one point we dominated the world as the only superpower by far, but Russia has been chipping away at us and china has made huge leaps and bounds. And we let them because much like publicly traded company CEOs we care about short term benefits over long-term benefits. China was willing to I have short term pain in order to gain long-term success. But we’re not willing to do that because our people complain about stuff that’s small. As for the money we’re paying on foreign wars, I’ve already explained why it’s necessary. But the amount we’re paying is actually pretty small. For instance in Kansas City They are paying about $50 per citizen to pay for a sports stadium that many of them do not care about one bit. The first huge amount of money we gave Ukraine, for instance, was equivalent of every adult paying $35 a year for only 10 years. And if we have to do that in order to maintain our security and prosperity, and then it’s easily more than fine. So many other things there so less important we pay more money for. But there are plenty of places we could cut where we are giving money to other countries who are very rich and even have universal healthcare. That money should be cut most likely in my opinion. But Americans don’t care to do research on all the small amounts of money that we spend a year after year, but yet they’re shocked when we spend one large amount of money that is necessary. How about we focus on real solutions and not big ticket items that may shock us because they’re larger than normal while we ignore all the small amounts that should be reduced but we don’t pay attention to because a whole bunch of nickels and dimes are not as easy to read about on Facebook.

With the amount of rain that's fallen across an awful lot agricultural land, food is likely to go up as well. There are farmers who have lost most, if not all, of their crops in the areas of SD, MN, and IA that have flooded. Canton SD, a largely rural area, had 18 inches of rain in three days. The Big Sioux River finally crested at 45 feet, which is 7 feet higher than the previous record high crest. There are likely to be serious economic repercussions following these floods that will affect people outside the area as well as those who live and work within it.
