Blessings Luke! Your videos are salve for my soul. When I was housebound, seeing your forest videos brought me such joy. This video inspired me to get out into my own woodlands, and I returned with a basket of chanterelles and comfrey leaves. Thank you!

Here in the midwest of the US we have had everything pop up a month early. Morels, now chanterelles, boletes and lions mane.

Hi man, congrats for the video. Very cool finds . But...I'm almost sure at 17:00 Is not an edulis...is missing the white line at the bottom of the umbrella. And reticulatus can have varius tipe of brown top. Keep going, you doing well 👍🤎 From Italy
@LukesMushrooms7 ай бұрын
Hello to Italy, thanks for your comment :) I know what you mean by the white line. However, I must insist on my original opinion that it really is B. edulis. In my experience, not all of edulis have that white line, plus there were other signs which convinced me easily. Soon I'll be publishing that picture among experts. I'll let you know here if someone confirms your version.

This is really impressive, thanks for taking us with you. Here, in the very western part of Germany, nature issn't that far. We only have some few scarletina boletes around here.

I had no idea mushrooms weren’t exclusively a cold harvest crop ie Autumn
@LukesMushrooms6 ай бұрын
Here in the middle of Europe the season of ceps is usually from June to November, but it can start even earlier or end later. And outside of this period, there is also time for spring and winter mushrooms, so almost all year covered :)

Chicken of the woods from oak trees is delicious, I don't know where you heard that
@LukesMushrooms6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your opinion - I'm glad to hear there are people with such experience. As I don't pick chicken of the woods often, I tend to wait if I find it on a fruit tree, poplar or a willow.

Oh wow pretty mushrooms And also I see plenty of wild garlic beside the basket ❤❤ keep safe always more mushrooms picking
@LukesMushrooms7 ай бұрын
Thank you. Just be careful with wild garlic, those plants beside the basket are most probably lily of the valley and those are poisonous.
@teldrah6 ай бұрын
@@LukesMushrooms Yeah, it's best to be careful with wild plants. The media always portrays mushroom picking as inherently dangerous, but a lot more people get poisoned by plants than by mushrooms. I only pick wild garlic in March, because it tastes best when it is young and during that time, neither Lily of the valley nor Colchicum autumnale (another plant that can look quite similar) can be found, but it's still best to be very careful and always double check every leaf.

as a huge fan of boletus hunt i ll gladly give a follow and a like, wonderfull oak spot, in italy a place like that would be completely full of people, we have to go on 30%+ incline to have a chance nobody already checked the place and a lot of times we have to walk more then 2 hours to arrive at the designated spot... pretty envious 🥲 Btw the wormy ones are perfect to dry under the sun, they last in the right condition 1 year or more! fantastic job and those aestivalis are incredible! we have rain since mid april and it will not stop until next week at least, so i' m even more envious 🤣 Love from north italy
@LukesMushrooms7 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you :) Interesting to hear how it works in Italy. Here, mushroom hunting is very popular too, so I was lucky I could go on Thursday and not during the weekend. However, I found traces of other mushroom hunters visiting some spots before me. I wish you good luck and I hope I will also find some more mushrooms this season.
