John an 8.2 deck SBF IS a Windsor. Both the 289/302 and the 351 are Windsor engines. Regardless that little 353 is making some insane power. According to the calculators that little sucker is making around 2300 HP!

That separation is insane, I about fell over when I walked up to this car seeing the engine. I was expecting a 9.5 deck with some blue thunder 4.3 or something. These guys were flying.

Yeah, he must have some pretty long travel struts in the rear for those things not to have topped out.
@brookgreen918323 күн бұрын
Ya still more travel left if we need it

363 is an aftermarket block. 4 1/8 bore. They also have a far more stout bottom end. Factory block is just ok n/a and that with a lot of work.

It’s unbelievable that it runs that fast! I run sbf’s too but not that fast. It’s crazy because I have the best parts made for it. I need a freakin’ turbo

I wish I would have bought a dart block. I'm building a 347 stock block right now and I wish I'd spent the $ for a good block. It snowballed into buying everything but the block

Wild Bill Devine in know has been low 4’s years ago. 8.2 deck
@87mustang34723 күн бұрын
I’m confused. There have been Sbf windsors running in the 7’s and even 6’s years ago in the 1/4 mile. How is this a record?
@danmyers937223 күн бұрын
His 1/8th mile times put him down into the 6.40’s in the 1/4. I really doubt anyone ran that quick “years ago”.
@87mustang34723 күн бұрын
@ people were going 6.80’s in 2009 with SBF’s. Bill Devine went 4.14 to the 1/8th around 2016 with an 8.2 deck so yeah, “years ago”

@87mustang347 what i was thinking. Question, so does Billy Glidden ADRL car not count when it was a SBF?

People be sleepin on the sbf. Good friends of mine has a g body with a sbf goin 30’s. Just about to crack into the 20’s. Same kind of deal. Pretty basic setup.
@danmyers937223 күн бұрын
And “experts” say an 8.2 deck SBF will split in two down the lifter valley above 500 HP! 🤣
@brookgreen918323 күн бұрын
Its not a ford block though, those are on borrowed time over 500hp, this is a filled dart iron eagle
@downfour4730423 күн бұрын
It’s definitely not a stock block at that power lever. And the aftermarket blocks can still split the same way just at a lot higher level.
@downfour4730423 күн бұрын
That car is around the 2200+ish range. It’s definitely not in any stock block territory.
@2sheamotorsports19922 күн бұрын
That’s a bad ass car and combo. I assume that’s an aluminum rod deal? @turbojohnracing
