It's raceday...... Well Test n Tune day for us.... We made it out to Galot Motorsports Park for Thursday night test and tune, had a blast and Courtney's Turbocharged Coyote is showing some potential... Joey is still having some issues, but he will get it figured out and that stock block 8.2 deck monster should be flying.
Courtney's did have a few challenges tonight, but overall very happy with the progress in just two passes.

Good first test session! This was a great example of how well set up safeties in the ECU can save an engine. It looks to me like the back end isn’t moving. It definitely isn’t getting much, if any separation. More anti squat needed and/or loosen extension on the shocks?
@garylucier6817
@garylucier6817 3 ай бұрын
It left beautifully the 2nd pass, those slicks wrinkled up perfectly and the extension allowed the fronts to go in the air but under control and straight as an arrow. The absolute least driving input I have ever seen TJ have to do in a car.

How much horsepower is he expecting out of that engine to require a mechanical fuel pump? Or is it more to help control the increase in fuel pressure as the RPMs increase? Don't bash me too bad just trying to learn. Lol

Never press the transbrake button when up on the stands period. It requires the full weight of the car on a surface to work properly and will take out lots of trannies if not on the ground.

Transbrake bump is terrible idea on jack stands. Hard on a trans
@TurboJohnRacing
@TurboJohnRacing 3 ай бұрын
As long as you keep the brakes applied it’s really not a lot different than in the ground. Best place is on the starting line or in a spot where if the throttle hangs or transbrake releases you don’t run over someone or run into your trailer. Seeing transbrake tests in crowded pits with the cars on the ground scares me! I’ve been right beside one when the throttle hung and the car launched (in the shop)! Not good!
