I just moved out of NJ 2 months ago but I always went up to Sound Exchange when I would work in that area. I went there for RSD Black Friday last year and I liked the way they ran it. Great store.

I bought it after it came out and just remember having a devil of a time finding it. But it’s definitely not as good as the debut. It was a big letdown at the time which was why I didn’t buy it when it came out. Glad I have it in my collection now.

@@BrendonSnyder I preferred it to the debut. Better production and more depth to the songs. Although the debut was good I only remember one song from the debut. We all know the one. :) I saw them on the Timebomb tour at The House of Blues in Hollywood with Lennon supporting. Great night.

Regarding the price of vinyl, Brendon, you hit the nail on the head, they are taking advantage of the vinyl market. It makes me wonder how much longer this vinyl revival will last. Anyway, great conversation, always enjoy seeing Anthony. I like how, despite the fact that a certain record is in his store for sale, if he doesn't like it, or is unfamiliar with it, he says so! Very cool.

Brendon, I have a question: a few weeks ago you showed a cd of a German band, re-issue of a late 70's instrumental album in the Prog/ jazz rock style. I think the cover was either some sort of spaceship or a needle on a record. I've been trying to remember the name of the name, and thought I had saved it on my "to buy" list, but can't find it anymore...would you happen to remember what it was? Thank you, Brendon! Cheers.

The band name is Space, the album is called Magic Fly

This year some said it was not that great a year, but Im actually getting more than usual with RSD. The Joan Jett is her newest record that went straight to digital and people were pissed off, cause they wanted physical copies. The Norah Jones is cool, because of the random duets, the INXS is great, this is similar to their long out of print (one of the first remix albums) called DeKa-Dance. There also is a Prince release coming RSD that is pretty In demand, and yes I am getting the Olivia Rodrigo, unfortunately already the ebay resellers are taking advantage, one the reasons I think some are pricing records high, is because of the re-sellers and those buying just to flip them for profit to fans. Wish Ebay had a way to stop that from happening, especially since people are selling what they don't have in hand yet, similar to what happened with Swift and a few years back with a Pearl Jam RSD and also the Foo Fighters "dee-gees" release a few years back.

You're not forced to buy in every record for record store days are you? As a business you only buy the titles (including ones you think are overpriced) and amounts you think you can sell. If you feel so strongly a record is way overpriced, simply don't stock it? A customer can go elsewhere for those rsd tiles and you can order the non rsd titles on request rather than stock them.

RSD can be stressful for a store owner. But instead of complaining, how about trying to see it from his perspective and take what you want from it and leave the rest. I mean…we did show you all of the titles in advance of RSD.

I'm still waiting for something from Deep Purple on RSD or BF...I don't think there's a ever been anything (maybe a 45 rpm?). The only thing that I find interesting this year is the Joan Jett (and many The Doors if the sound is ok). The Knack might be good. Some of those releases are really questionable. No Taylor Swift this time???? :-) :-) :-) Cheers.

Feel bad for the record store owners, especially the smaller indie ones, who have to buy these non-returnable releases and hope that they sell. Never been to a RSD event myself, as there usually isn't anything too exciting for me (and I'd probably be in-store swearing over the prices like Anthony).

They know Death's fans would buy anything they put out and thus releasing the six studio albums plus Fate and Live albums on all formats Tape, Vinyl, and CDs with various color variations again and again, which is seemingly endless. Swearing is just a sign of passion. It’s also very honest, not holding anything back or trying to sugar coat it. I think having a different perspective is good for the channel. And I completely disagree with the whole my “channel is less positive” statement. Voicing a complaint doesn’t make things less positive, it makes people feel better to get it off their chest and to know others feel the same way. Don’t keep things bottled up, you’ll live longer 👍
