Can you play the beat and still hear your vocal without recording like in FL Studio? I find myself hitting the record button or not playing the track at all to hear the vocal chain. But playing the song, it stops any input from coming through.

Hi Wayne, hope everything is going well. Hopefully you will get this message soon. A couple of sessions that I am working on. separately; I notice that when I play from the start all instruments and audio samples play fine, but when I move forward on thr timeliness or edit window and play suddenly Claps, hihats, kicks etc are off tempo and no longer flowing together. This means everything I want to edit an automation or loop record over anything I have to start from the beginning to be sure everything lines up.This had become a major problem slows me down tremendously. Do you have an idea what I may have done to cause this issue on playback.or is it Pro tools?

great info, thx as always...wayne, i wonder if you have noticed Landr is using one of your video clips in their adverts on facebook, and if so what do you think about it? personally i would never trust any kind of automated mastering, best leave it to the pros, but that's my opinion...if ya could give your thoughts, maybe even make a video about them using your clips for their product...

Identify beat is important to know how to do. Learn it! And then, go BUY Mixed in Key (change the setting from Camelot to flats). You absolutely need Mixed in Key for speed. Get the bpm and key faster than you can even import the beat. The artist is ready to go, no waiting. The key will be right 98% of the time, but that’s when your music theory training kicks in…
